Lousy dureftion control compared to my Roomba

this has wi-fi connectivity and remote control features except for when it comes to directional control. there, it fails miserably. it’s stored at exactly the same spot that i had my old roomba, and it’s in a space inside the kitchen. i have an attached living room with corridoors leading off to other rooms. the powerbot consistently refuses to cover the entire kitchen area, and hurries off into the open spaces in the living room and other parts of the house. this leaves my kitchen area unclean...

i initially bought this for one of my family members and we all loved how it worked. i cleaned the area very well. and for some of the places it could not, we manually cleaned the are with the remote that was included. i just bought this for our home as well. it has 10 watt power so it does its job well.

fun while it lasted

recieved this as a gift. worked great for about 5 months. then it began to constantly indicate errors and would stop. luckily it was under warranty and samsung repaired it and sent it back. all was well for another month or so until it started smoking and smelling of burnt rubber. this time it was out of warranty (2 months). after calling around it was too expensive to fix. lot of money to spend for a device that barely worked for a year.

This is a two year review, battery life stinks, would not vacuum pet hair well, and now won’t recharge. Thankfully I got a three year extended warranty. We’ll see how that works!

i purchased this in march of 2019, used it about 3 times then packed it up and it wasnt used again until after our new house was completed. we used it a couple times a week after that. about 3 months ago, it has stopped working. it will not power on or charge. it does not light up or make a sound. it just stopped in the middle of the cleaning cycle and never came back on

i have been using my powerbot for the past week and it has been excellent experience so far. the bot is very simple to operate and maintain, well constructed with fantastic design points, and easily set on each floor of my 4 floor townhouse for a full house clean while i relax around the house. the bot works relatively quietly and diligently and picks up far more dust and debris than i would normally myself.

love the fact that it remembers the layout of the room and will continuously clean and return to its charger. the downside is the roller broke because of my long hair and because of covid times i’m not able to get a replacement because they don’t have parts available online and there’s no stores available that have any parts. so right now i have a machine that i cannot use.
