Broke twice

the dryer broke twice in the last 3 years. really disappointed from this product. also had issues with our washer wf5000. very negative experience. i had more expectations from a brand like samsung.

Very happy with this dryer

I really like this dryer so far. We've had it two weeks and have completed about 25 loads in it. It does what it's supposed to, plain and simple. Lowe's got it delivered in only two days, which was also very nice.

Quiet and well-featured, but not durable

If I'd written this review a month ago, I would have given 4 stars, but since then the dryer started making loud grinding noise of metal on metal and I will have to pay a large bill for out of warranty service. A previous Kenmore dryer didn't develop any problems for over 10 years and, when it did, I was able to replace the belt and a switch myself. This Samsung is much more complicated and I didn't dare tackle it myself.

Don't make em like they use too

When the Manufacture warranty runs out, the Tub Roller starts squeaking, This Dryer was in the Factory 3 years ago, and for the price should not have any issues

Dry the wash away

This dryer is adequate and exceeds expectations. Quieter than I expected and it a nice addition to any laundry; aesthetically and size.

Not durable

I normally enjoy my Samsung products. I bought this SAMSUNG dryer in Aug 2016 with the matching washer. Of course the warranty expired at the one year point. In Jan 2018, the idler pulley basically disintegrated and the one of the drum rollers were worn out. Since I'm fairly handy, I repaired it myself. In Nov 2018, replaced the rollers again along with a new drum due to it not being able to retain the heat to dry (because you can't buy a seal, it's only available as a drum unit--called the 'dru...

Terrible for drying sheets

This dryer is lousy at sheets. The sensor is so picky it shuts off when things are still damp. It won't allow you to run on a timed dry to get things dryer. It also rolls the sheets into tight little balls where the inner items are still wet. The sing-song melody it plays when finished etc is annoying. We shut it off but that means we have to keep an ear out. The washer is fine but we'd never buy this dryer again. Try another. This one isn't worth it.

Annual repair required

I bought this dryer about 4 years ago and have had to buy replacement parts every single year. Don’t think I would use Samsung for dryer again.

Design flaw, failed after 18 months

18 months the dryer began to squeal and shut off randomly. Repair guy could not replicate the problem and left. After less than 2 years the dryer started grinding due to a melted idler pulley. The design is such that the wheel has no bearing, (like you would see in other brands) and instead uses metal on metal connection that eventually melts the plastic retention clip, which is the thing that prevents the heat from causing a fire. Dries super fast

I love this dryer! It's quiet, fits oversized items and dries everything faster than any machine we have ever owned.

Very disappointing

This is the worst appliance ever. Bed linens get rolled into a tight ball, leaving the center wet while the outside is dry. No amount of rearranging or use of “dryer balls” makes a difference. This never happened with my old Maytag.

Had unit 4 months and doesn't dry clothes

worked well for 4 months then stopped drying clothes. won't heat up to normal temps. currently on my third week of trying to have samsung get a technician to troubleshoot, but since it's stacked the technician who did finally show up said its against policy to troubleshoot any further when the unit is stacked. unit should not stop working after 4 months! stay away - samsung service is not the best

Have owned many dryers. Must say never have had a dry drum have such a huge defect after only 2 years.

Piece of junk

At first this was a great dryer and loved it. As time went on though our clothes took longer to dry even on a light load. Now two weeks ago it's makes a horrible grinding noise likes it's going to blow up! Great Dryer

Was hesitated of getting this dryer because I know Samsung was known for TVs. The dryer is bigger than my last one but it’s great and simple to use.

filter almost a deal breaker

The dryer is a good quality appliance that does a great job of drying clothes. The filter is a pain as it is hard to get in and out and opening it requires a little help from a screw driver. Furthermore, if you reach down into the area under the filter to clean there the trapdoor snaps your fingers so you definitely need two hands - one to clean underneath and one to hold down the hinged door. HORRIBLE

I have had this dryer 18 months. I spent $800 hard earned money on this dryer that I thought would last for years. In 18 months I have had to replace 2 different sensors, the control panel AND the motor!! Now the dryer turns on and then immediately turns off after 5 seconds. I cannot afford a new dryer. I am using a laundry mat and my friends next door to get me through. This is so unacceptable of a product. It is out of warranty and there is nothing that can be done. Samsung needs to make this...
