Dont buy the drum cracks

this was a great washer for the first few years but after 5 years the drum cracked. it seems by looking at other reviews on multiple sites everyone has the same problem but many times it is happening after only a year or two once the warranty has expired. do not purchase this unless you want to be buying a replacement in a few years.

No customer service to fix broken dryer

i've had the dryer for 4 months and it's worked less than 2. servicequick and samsung care suck. i've been trying to get the dryer repaired for weeks. they asked if my dryer was stacked and i said yes. they sent one tech who left, having done nothing, because he said he couldn't do it alone. i had to wait another 10 days. when the 2 techs came, 1 tech left because they didn't need 2. the tech that stayed kept calling to ask for help identifying parts & their function! after they left, the dryer ...

Didn't work right out of the box. Called for service almost a month later a repair man stood in front of it for 10 minutes, said some nonsense about the "sensor" and told me it worked. It doesn't. Don't waste you money on this machine

works as expected

There were reviews from a couple of years ago that showed the drum cracked. I THINK the drum in the dryer we got is different than the ones that cracked. Also, there were several people who talked about their clothes not getting dry. We have not had that problem. Thinking about those reviews were the folks had trouble I wonder how long their exhaust runs were. We have a 3 foot exhaust run because the dryer is in the corner of the house and it exhausts directly outside without a long run. Ou...

Stopped working after 16 months

Dryer continues to spin even after turned off. Does not heat up. Used lightly at home as it is just wife and I. Terrible product consider yourself warned!

Very disappointing

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] worked fine at first. 3 1/2 years in it’s making horrible noises. after viewing the youtube, it could be the idler pulley, could be the belt, or it could be rollers. who knows?? very disappointing.

ONE HUGE BALL OF OUTSIDE HOT INSIDE WET CLOTHES

Only use the timed setting because all other ones leave clothes damp or wet... despte advertised sensor advertisement. Bought the wool balls that are supposed to prevent clothes from balling up and this did not work. I have to put on medium or high heat for 40 min and take out and shake out the insides and re-set for 40 min med heat. The filter is a Pain! It is hard to open and lint gets stuck in many crevices around circumference of door and around filter areal would NOT but again

Year and a half and broken

We would not buy again. After year and a half drying clothes for 2 seniors not heating, not stopping tumbling, not shutting off. Read google reviews and not good. Limited use and now need new one!

Do not buy!

purchased in 2015. after 4 years of use the dryer stopped heating and we had to have it repaired and the heating element replaced. now 8 months later the dryer stopped heating again.

Fire Hazard!

We have had this dryer for about 3 years. Model DV42H5000EW. We currently have been getting a random HE error so I pulled the heating element. The HE error occurred once about a month ago and did not happen again until recently. When the error occurred, the dryer would stay on while still heating until we manually stopped it, even though the timer had 1 minute left. Cracked Drum

bought this not even three years ago. the drum cracked in several spots and today it collapsed itself. complete garbage.

Junk

we bought this less than a year ago and its been a lemon since. 6 minths after having it we needed the mother board replaced and it still takes forever to dry. samsung doesnt stand behind product

Inflexible heat settings, can't dry on LOW temp

normally i would have given this a high rating but the preset cycles make it impossible to dry things on a low setting using sensor dry. no wool cycle on the 5400.

Drum Cracked After 2 Yrs

there is a crack forming, which turns the dryer into a fire hazard as the lint will get through the crack and coat the heating element. google it!

Disappointed!!!

purchased this dryer from sears on 8/27/18. heating coil has blown and will cost $500 to repair. samsung not willing to help. this is hugely disappointing!

Drys fast

This dries your clothes very fast. I like that it has the wrinkle free option. It plays a little song when it is done. You can fit a lot of clothes in the dryer. It is a great product. I would recommend it to a friend.

Stay Away!!! Waste of money!
