Tried it twice, bad results

I installed a paver patio and used the Sakrete brand Poymeric Sand between the pavers. Just like everyone else here, I read the instructions to the "T". The sand would be hard in some locations and wouldn't be hard in others. Small plants would take root and now I'm plucking plants out of my patio. I cleaned all the sand out from the pavers and tried a second time. Same issues as previously mentioned. I think I will try the Quikrete Sand Topping High Strength Concrete Mix next time. Does not work according to directions...

I put this down once...watered it according to instructions...never got hard and with a rain storm washed all the sand out of the joints. Figured I did something wrong so I power washed the patio again...put this product down again...only to have it again not harden!!!!! This product sucks. Waste of time and money. Either directions are wrong or needs more clarification.

Good product.

Brush thoroughly to minimize the total amount needed. Repeat in following year as needed to prevent weeds

Permanent Solution

I love this product. So much better than regular sand. I don’t have to constantly weed the walkway.

Excellent product

We do our own home repairs and upkeep. We like to purchase items on sale too. This product was reduced, we love it. Hope to win your contest to aleaviat some expenses of upkeep.

Not Fine enough

I used a different sand to start my project which was consistently fine and small crackholes without issue. I bought 2 buckets of this to finish the project and could immediately see that the difference. The mixture was large pieces of stone and shells and was not the same fine sand used in the other product. After spreading the sand over the pavers you are left with a lot of trash and need to work the sand into your paver spaces which takes much more time. I would not recommend this product...

Stops weeds

4 stars instead of 5 because after it sets the top layer doesn’t and blows around making a mess. Otherwise it does what it says and is an all-around great product.

First time I used this brand. Seams to do the job. I would recommend this product.

Good product, best to test use it first before working on finished area.

Not as good as expected!

Applied per directions on paver sidewalk in April 2018 to fill in the grout joints and already the joints are loose like sand. So much for the polymeric firmness that should have developed in the joints!

Looks good. Not sure how it will hold up

Followed the directions and came out looking great on my new walkway I put in. How ever after a week went by I hosed off the walkway because some dirt got spilled on it and some of the same came up from the cracks. Figured it would have been harder than that to come up with a normal garden hose. Does look nice and seems relatively firm everywhere though.

Washed away during heavy rain

Followed the directions of the product and used it on my patio project. The space between my pavers are close to 1 1/2 in. The heavy rain washed away the product on the first rain.

Perfect finish

Easy to use, sealed pavers nicely.
