I’ve used polymeric sand for years to help prevent weeds in my dry-laid blue stone walkway and in between my EP Henry patio pavers. I didn’t think there was a difference in quality between brands, but boy was I wrong! This Sakrete product is by far the worst that I’ve ever used! It appears to have some kind of aggregate mixed in with the polymeric sand, which results in a rather messy, low quality-looking finish. Great for outdoor pavers

Stuff works as advertised. It doesn't look gray when you open it, but after sealing it with water, it turns that way. Fill in the cracks completely and then run the hose over it gently, allow it to cure for about 48 hrs. Walk on it that day and nothing moves.

Works great, the grey color is true and rare

When used properly this polymeric sand works as advertised! Lays and dries grey.

One year after application, weeds grew in it. Followed every instruction. Total waste of time and will need to redo the whole thing. Pictures speak 1,000 words.

Hardened like expected, no issues

I know a lot of reviews claim to have problems with this not hardening, but I didn't have any of those issues. I followed the instructions, brushed in the sand, tapped/tamped the pavers to ensure the sand was in the cracks fully, swept in more sand where possible, then got it wet and let it dry for 24 hours before walking on it. No problems at all, hard as concrete to the touch. Would definitely use again.

Horrible product

Bought multiple buckets and did exactly as said and it washed some away and it is supposed to prevent weeds and my patio is covered in grass and weeds. Waste of money

Did the job.

Wanted something that would fill in a 4 inch wide crack in my drive way. Tired quick Crete didn’t hold. The paver sand filled in the crack and one it was sealed, held perfectly.

This product does not harden under the Thin top

This is a horrible product. Once spread into joints, then watered to firm product, a top thin coating hardens which prevents the under sand to setup. Over time the top thin crust either breaks or erodes and the under sand just blows away. The product does not allow for water penetration to reach the deeper joint sand.

Horrible

Complete waste of money. Used it in two separate small paver walkways. Followed instructions to the letter. Neither one hardened at all. Second one I tried just misting a little bit at a time. Same after five days not hard a bit. Save your money use gator, or anything else.
