What Customers Are Saying
The drill-powered transfer pump received mostly negative feedback, with many customers reporting the product did not function as intended. Several users noted the pump failed to generate suction or move water, even for short distances. A few positive reviews mentioned the pump worked well for limited, low-volume tasks, but these were outliers. Overall, the consensus is the product is unreliable and ineffective, and customers are advised to seek a more dependable alternative.

Would Not RecommendJust like every other review this thing flat out does not work. I bought it in desperation to empty a defective humidifier pan. I put a few drops of oil in the impeller, made sure the drill rotation was correct, activated the drill on the highest speed and got nothing. A waste of money.
Absolute trash, doesn't work out of the box.
Would Not RecommendBought this to drain large fish tanks fast. It wouldn't prime or pick up water at all. I literally submerged the whole unit and it still will not prime. The impeller shaft pulls out of the unit. The shaft did not even spin the impeller new out of the box. The engineering on the impeller shaft is mediocre at best.
Werbenjagermanjensen,
It unfortunately sounds like you received a defective drill pump. The drill pump does require a minimum of 1300 rpm to pri...

No Good
Would Not RecommendVery little suction. You have to prime the pump by filling hose and pump with the liquid you are pumping just to get it to work.....difficult & time consuming. Very low flow rate. Takes a very long time to pump one gallon. Not a very good product and very over priced.
Matt,
The model #024491 is a small drill pump designed to move water. Once the pump is primed it requires a 1300 RPM drill to run it properly. I...

May not work

Would Not RecommendI bought this pump to clear water off my driveway. I tried the provided hoses, my garden hose it just doesn’t work. Waste of my time
Carl,
The battery operated drill pump is not designed or built to remove water from a driveway. It is designed and built to remove smaller amoun...

Very poor performance
Would Not RecommendOne of the ratings engineers use to quantify pump performance is head pressure - that is how high it can lift a column of water before the pressure exceeds the capability of the pump. This pump, working under ideal conditions, was able to lift water about 5 inches. In order to initiate any flow at all, I had to start it like a siphon. Once water starts flowing by gravity, then you can start the motor and lift the outlet up to 5 inches above the free surface of the water source. Flow rate at zero...
Eric,
The drill pump, part #024491, requires to have at least a 1300 rpm drill is used to create the vacuum on this pump. If you have any questi...

Should have listened to other reviews
Would Not RecommendI originally had one of these I bought at lowes over 20 years ago. It worked find for that 20 plus years with occasional use. This one will not pump. The only way to get it to pump any was to have only an inch or so of head but once I lifted it up off the surface of the water it quits. It's useless. I put oil in it, made sure the seals were in place... my drill has a max speed of 2000 rpm and a lower speeds. I tryed all speeds with same results. I agree with the other post that blames lowes. T...

useless
Would Not RecommendJust wasted an hour of my life with this garbage so cheap its almost not worth returning. You get what you pay for.
buppiek,
Please be aware the pump requires a minimum of 1300 rpm drill to get the pump primed. If you have any further questions. please call ou...

Does not perform
Would Not RecommendNot self priming as stated. Once Primed does not have the ability to draw water up a tube more than a few inches.
Kenny,
No pump is self priming the first time. The pump does require at least a 1300 rpm drill to get the flow going. If you have any other ques...

Did not work at all
Couldn’t pump water up 12”to a bucket. I even filled the line to help prime it.
Jjmac,
We are sorry to hear you had issues with this pump. Understand that it requires a pump with a minimum of 1300 RPM to start the pumping pr...

More hype than fact
Would Not RecommendThis pump was a big disappointment took half a hour to get it to prime itself dont use a garden 1/2 hose to suck water up just dont work to get it to work almost had to put the drill in the water also with the 1/4 hose also this little pump takes forever to pump anything i could pee faster than this thing can pump
