What Customers Are Saying
The drill-powered transfer pump received mostly negative feedback, with many customers reporting the product did not function as intended. Several users noted the pump failed to generate suction or move water, even for short distances. A few positive reviews mentioned the pump worked well for limited, low-volume tasks, but these were outliers. Overall, the consensus is the product is unreliable and ineffective, and customers are advised to seek a more dependable alternative.

Would Not RecommendThis product is a complete waste of time, gas to go buy it, etc... I wish I had read the reviews before buying it, Lowe's shouldn't sell it
Works great with a cordless drill!
Would RecommendI used the Drilled-Powered Transfer Pump to winterize my camping trailer. It pumped the antifreeze quickly and more importantly cleanly with no mess. It pumped 3 gallons in about 3 minutes. I taped weights to the bottom of the hose to help hold it down to the bottom of the bottle.

Works IF Under Water
Would Not RecommendI returned the first one I bought and got another from a different lot number. It works, sort of. The only way I could get this pump to work was to hold it under water. If you need to pump some water out of an irrigation box - as I did, you need to submerge it in the water. Better than nothing , but not much! Obviously use a battery powered drill and keep it out of the water.
naturalengineer,

Junk
Would Not RecommendFirst, this was obviously a return that had been used. The box was held together with packing tape. Tried everything I could think of to get it to work. It never moved a drop of water. Disappointed that Lowes would sell me such garbage.

READ THE REVIEWS
Would Not RecommendI made the mistake of not reading the reviews on this product before I bought it. Well, my pump did the exact thing that most of the other reviews say. It never even pretended to draw. Nothing was pumped, not even a drop. After inspection, I believe they have a quality control issue as 2 of the 3 screws holding the housing together were stripped and not holding pressure to keep the housing tight. DO NOT BUY THIS. Product is complete trash.
jbrad,

Didn't work
Would Not RecommendBought to drain a fish tank. Would not prime. I can look in the inlet and see light from the outlet. That means the impeller blades are flattened down or otherwise defective. Absolute piece of junk. Also the cheap tubing is jammed in the box instead of coiled and kinks like crazy. Not that it mattered...
