Would Not RecommendI bought this to transfer RV anti Freeze into the RV water system. I read all the instructions and before I started put 1 drop of veg, oil in the inside. Then hooked up all the lines and tried to pump the pink anti freeze in to the system. It never even pumped 1 drop of the anti freeze. So I poured so of the anti freeze in to the in side of the pump and with the drill on high I tried again. I let the pump run for 1 min and stopped. Still not a drop. Annoying but does work. Needed a shop vac to work.
Would RecommendUsed this and a harden hose to empty an oil tank. You definitely have to prime it. I stuck my shop vac on the out end and got it to come through while having the drill running. It worked good until I stopped it and had to repeat the process. Got oil all over my house but it did work. If it would have been water it wouldnt have mattered.

Works OK
The instructions are somewhat vague. The rotational arrow on the front of the pump is as if you are viewing rotation from the BACK (shaft side) of the pump. The 1/4 inch inlet tubing was badly kinked from being coiled up inside the 1/2 inch tubing. I had to cut some of the worst off and soak the rest in hot water so I could squeeze the rest of the kinks out. I submerged the pump without the tubing to get it to prime. I'm neutral on recommending.

This pump is supposed to be self priming, straight out of the box, a little oil in the inlet and hooked up wit 5/8 inch hose and garden hose fittings it wouldn't pick up a prime, inches to a bucket and less than three feet of intake hose. Lowe's should stock Jabsco if they want satisfied customers. This one is going back to the store. By the way, the web page made me give it a one star, my actual vote is a flat zero.

cheap fittings
Would RecommendI bought this to pump antifreeze into my radiator over flow tank. When I tightened the fittings on one of them cracked. I bought 5/8 inch clear hose to watch it flow and I was lucky compared to other ratings, it started flowing right away and fast.
