Great waterproof flooring underlayment

This stain master flooring underlayment is exactly as the label says it is , it is waterproof as you can see in picture let the water stand for 15 minutes and never did leak Thur and at 2 mm thickness is great , very easy to install and does not move when it is laid out on sub flooring

Stainmaster vinyl waterproof flooring underlayment

Stainmaster vinyl floor waterproof underlayment. Very easy to use and peace of mind that my subfloor is protected. Prepping floor is key. Remove all dust and debris...nails ect. Rolls easy..cuts easy. Taped seems since it went over concrete floor like they recommended.

Underlayment for vinyl flooring

I used this product in an area where I placed vinyl plank flooring. The existing subfloor was level and un goid condition but no funished floor hasd ever been installed.

Perfect for pool house bathroom!

I purchased this to be installed under vinyl plank flooring in a new bathroom in the pool house. I am making the bathroom as waterproof as possible to protect the flooring from wet swimsuits! I painted the subfloor and am installing this waterproof underlayment under waterproof vinyl planks (theme: waterproof). So far it is easy to rollout and cut, installation is a breeze - let's hope the flooring goes down as smoothly :)

Tough to Control

Having used underlayment that is packaged more in an accordion style, this product comes in a roll; a tight roll. Once the heavy duty zip ties are cut, there's a bit of a struggle to get it flat in order to measure. On the plus side, it seems to be thicker than other products I've used. Maybe the compromise is to phone a friend for assistance in holding one end, while you measure and cut.

By far best underlayment available

I renovate houses and LVP flooring is one of my go to’s. Waterproof underlayment that’s a pad is the way to go and I thought I had the superior product until I used this underlayment. It’s 2x the thickness of my last product and is water repellent. The extra thickness allows for a little more forgiveness with a bumpy subfloor. This is a real game changer and I recommend it.

Easy to used underlayment

This underlayment is supper easy to work with and dampened the noice from foot steps vary well. The underlayment offers an easy way to have a water barrier between the subfloor and the laminate flooring with a 2mm thickness offers max protection.

Soft and smooth

This is an excellent choice to use as an underlayment. I like that it is mold resistant, as you know there are always a spill of some type so this product will help reduce mold and mildew. Being in a roll it is hard to get it to lay flat but using tape will keep it and the corners flat until the weight of the flooring is on it. Couldn't be easier to install!

Easy to install, really couldn't be easier. I used this on a master closet and another closet under the interlocking vinyl plan flooring. My goal was to raise up the flooring a little so I could add quarter round molding to the baseboard molding to cover up the gap. This gives the flooring a little more give/padding and seemed to level out a slight bit of unevenness in my underlayment. I received the stain master vinyl, waterproof flooring, underlayment for review. The underlayment is used with vinyl flooring. The underlayment provides a waterproof barrier, advertises it inhibits the growth of mold and mildew, so would be great to use in a bathroom or kitchen area. I have used Stainmaster Products often over the years and this Waterproof underlayment is Great Quality! Not only is it thicker than others available, it is very pliable and ready to install!

Strong and thick underlayment

Surprisingly strong underlayment. I can tug on it and try to stretch it but it holds it shape - makes me feel good that it will last and not warp and cause installation issues. I'm doing floor prep now and will report back. I can't comment on the noise difference since it's replacing a different product.

Nice underlayment

So we were just about to place new flooromg down in out master area and found this profuct. Great product to work with from placement to cutting. Love the waterproof part vs traditional underlayment.

Helps create great looking floor.

We had been planning to remodel our bathroom including new vinyl flooring. We used this as an under layment for our vinyl flooring. It worked great. Floor has a nice soft feel. Installed easily. Worked great.

Easy to use

This is honestly the first time I’ve used underlayment so I don’t have a lot to compare it to. But I can’t tell you my experience with this product. First thing I noticed is how thin it is. It’s as you could see for the pictures. It’s about the thickness of a quarter. So I was concerned about noise. Better quality

I usually use the foldable grid underlayment because the rolls are difficult to use, especially the last 10 feet. However, stainmaster has put out a better product than the cheaper foam stuff. You can feel that it is rigid, and more solid for those bumpy subfloors. You will need tape for the seems though.

I ordered this underlayment for a sub layer for vinyl plank flooring. The underpayment comes in a two pack with each role covering 75 sq ft. This is nice as it was large enough to complete a full room. This is a nice value for the coverage. The underlayment went down easy and fit snuggly to the floor. I used staples to lay it down. Works Well

This is actually really great stuff. It was super easy to lay down and tape together. It can tear underneath, so extra care needs to be taken when laying the flooring, but this stuff made the job quick. Use flooring panels or other flat weights to hold the edges down.

Waterproof as well as some soundproofing qualities

The Stainmaster Moisture Resistant Flooring Underlayment is a waterproof foam underlayment for use under any laminate type flooring. With the correct seam tape it would be waterproof. The thickness of 2mm provides some soundproofing and reduces "bounce" when items are dropped on it.
