Nice underlayment for our new Stainmaster LV.

This waterproof Vinyl underlayment is very nice. It is waterproof and easy to install. It cut nicely and makes walking on our new Stainmaster luxury vinyl quiet and soft. We put it over concrete so being waterproof was a nice feature.

Decent floor padding

Padding works pretty good with the planks I have. I rolled out the flooring and tried to lay it flat. There was a slight curve in one of the rolls (width-wise … not because it was rolled up) so it seemed to keep curling over top of the first roll while I started to lay the planking down. I ended up having to tape it to keep it straight while I worked.

Challenging project

This just arrived just in time for installation of Pro Mark Topsfield Oak Rustic Blend Water Resistant Glue Down. This foam backing was perfect for this project. I used this in my kitchen and front entrance. It was a challenge in my kitchen area. Working around appliances and tight areas. It looks great.

Good product with one missing feature

This is a pretty good floor underlayment for laminate or vinyl - it has nice insulating properties being foam, it's waterproof, and it is super lightweight. The only thing it is missing is printed guidelines on the surface for helping keep the flooring install straight. This would be so easy to add during production that I can't figure out why they would omit them; even cheap felt paper has guidelines. Add these and you really have a great product.

STAINMASTER Waterproof Vinyl Plank Underlayment

This is a quality underlayment when installing vinyl planked flooring. It provides waterproofing, soundproofing, and antimicrobial protection. Very easy to roll out, staple down, and tape joints.

Great option!

So the Stainmaster waterproof flooring underpayment is pretty awesome. We are finishing our basement and wanted to be fairly water tight to reach the bathroom off of our pool. This stuff is amazing. The grip is great. Went down in minutes. No squeaky noise, no movement of the floating floor above, and easy to use. With the peace of mind that you are working with a water tight product to give me time to clean up any spills or tracking from the pool.

Fantastic Underlayment

Fantastic underlayment for any lvp floor. This underlayment adds a nice boundary between the hard subfloor whether that be concrete or wood and the finished flooring. Also takes out some of the inconsistency between plywood subfloors and flooring. I would absolutely recommend using this anytime your installing lvp.

Great sound barrier or adding comfort to foooring

Great for use of Vinyl flooring with a 2MM thickness. 36x25ft has a great lifetime limited warranty on it. It’s nice that’s it’s waterproof, and prevents mold and mildew. Very easy to install and work with, definitely recommend.

Was easy to put down and even better to walk on

well best thing is it lays flat and is not slippery to walk on and that is a big bonus . . The other stuff I had was slippery to walk on and moved around every time you walked on it

Vapor barrier

Great solid vapor blocker . Foam disign works well to soften your step. But not to much to damage flooring. Comes in a 75 sq ft roll. To cover ma good area.

Great product

I have not installed the flooring over top yet. Just putting it down it feels very comfortable. It also has already dampened to noise and echo in my basement

Stainmaster has done a really good job with this waterproof premium foam it lays down really easy we put this a remolded bathroom that has kids so the water would not rot out the flooring

Flooring underlayment winner!

I really appreciate the quality of this product. It lays down easily and is extremely easy to cut like the fact that it provides a bit of cushion under the vinyl plank flooring. Also offering the waterproof barrier is an added bonus. It definitely reduces the sound that you normally would get when laying a luxury vinyl plank down without something like this, I will definitely use this product on projects in the future.

This underlay is awesome thick padding and makes the floor soft enough to make it tolerable for my bad back very easy to install and perfect for d.i.y

Good size at 2mm, you can feel the difference with

This was shipped well and came in good condition. The thickness is perfect at 2mm for most vinyl flooring underlayment. I tested some vinyl plank without and with the underlayment and could feel the difference for sure and also with less sound. The roll is nicely bound so that it's easy to roll out flat. If you're going to do flooring, it's not much extra work or cost to just add the underlayment with it for a better feel. I would recommend this over the pre-installed backing as well given the t...

Waterproof underlayment

I got this to use under vinyl plank flooring in a kids room. I wanted something waterproof (kids room) and as a bonus it says it will dampen sound downstairs. It feels like a slick dense foam 2 mm thick and it’s a 3’x 25’ ft. roll so 75 sq. ft in grey. Should do the trick for what I want.
