The device does what it is designed to do, however, I was NOT happy to have to purchase 3 new batteries the same day the device was purchased. It was completely boxed, so it's not as if it should have been an item tried by potential buyers. Regardless, the 3 replacement batteries were another $18, which is nearly the cost of the level, itself. The manufacturer needs to do better in this regard!

Neat Gadget
Even though I just recently purchased this item, I believe it will help out in a number of projects that are on my to do list. For example: placement of a full motion tv mount, re-aligning cement steps, cutting boards and trim, pictures, etc.. The levels and protractor are very helpful also. Neat, handy gadget for making precise cuts, alignments, etc.

Lightweight but effectice
Would RecommendIt does feel a bit cheap, but also that's kind of what's good about it - it's lightweight, small, easy to store, yet still effective. I will say that the lightweight of it makes it a bit tricky to stick to the wall on its own. I think it's most effective used with two people so one person can hold it while the other makes the markings. Maybe we just didn't use enough of the tackiness product.
