I used the fixed base for a large project. I found that the Bosch 1/4" bits were way too tight for the 1/4" collet. I had to use a rubber mallet to get the bit to set in the collet. Skil and old Craftsman 1/4" router bits fit fine. They must be a slightly smaller diameter. It was hard to get the collet tightened enough to keep the bit from slipping out. Would RecommendI was very pleased with the purchase even with the couple of things that are wrong with it. #1 the Allen adjustment does not work for a router table with the plunge base. It binds up and will only allow a couple of turns at best. #2 I had to resize the hole to use the Porter Cable bushings with both fixed and plunge base. Would RecommendFantastic router! Easy to use. Easy to switch from fixed base to plunge. Mine sat in a box in my garage for a few months before I had time to try it out - wish I had had the time sooner. Highly recommend.

Would RecommendI love the router. The only thing that up sets me is the wrench, that is included, for the 24mm collet nut, is TOO big. I am afraid of rounding the nut. Searching for a standard nut the available wrenches are just too big. I called support, they are great to work with, and they are sending me a new wrench. I this fits, as it should, then I'll change my rating to 5 stars.
