Was great until it wasn’t.
Would Not RecommendTwo years almost to the day. Been running this router in various capacities from edging, to rabbeting, to slab flattening. Ran it tonight to flatten a slab (1/16” depth passes). The bit jammed and now the router is off balance and vibrates heavily. The bit wasn’t even damaged. That’s all it took. BTW…what do each of the bit icons in the LCD display even mean? I used the one that looks like an upside down cone…

Would Not RecommendPurchased this router approximately 1 year ago. U Very pleased with operation initially, used very rarely. When using last week the bearings piled up, for the amount of use it has seen I would have expected to have it for many years. Not impressed.

Would Not RecommendNot happy with my router. I literally used it once and when I went to put the collet in to use it again. The collet would no longer fit down into the shank. I jumped through hoops to get a receipt from the store but was then told by you all that there was no longer a warranty. Used once. I have since ordered a new collet (not from you because you have lost my loyalty by not standing by your product). Hopefully it will work. If not, I have a big bulky paperweight that will need to go in the garba...

Would Recommend$120 is a great price for this quality. The versatile design is perfect for free handing and using it with my router table. Quite operation and nice vacuum attachments.
Not sure what is happening over at Lowe's but I bought this Skil router online and went and picked it up, got home and went to open the box, and it was already opened. Looked inside and the router and components were a total mess inside. Nothing in bags or cardboard just all loose. The worst part is that there was sawdust and dirt all over every part of the router. Would RecommendSolid router for DIY. You'll want to make your own base plate replacement because the stock base plates have a too small an opening for some of the larger bits... like my Hercules round over bit. I like the power of the motor, the flexibility of the fixed and plunge bases... Plus the tool comes in a top quality cardboard box (sarcasm intended).
