Why would anyone buy a different Router?

Love my new Skil router!
Would RecommendIt's a bit heavy but I'm managing. I really like it and it's ease of operation. Someone needs to develop a line for smaller men and women who can't lift heavy tools for long amounts of time and those with smaller hands.

Nice but a few design suggestions
Would RecommendThe router and table are nice but would suggest three design improvements after using it. 1. The angle the router is installed make is difficult to install dust collection. 2. With a plastic fence I would provide shims to improve support for the offset outfeed. 3. I would lower the switch to provide additional room at the router head when installed.

Would Not RecommendPerforms well, but (based on limited use, at this point) power switch is awkward to reach, and greatest disappointment is the base plate; book says bits with OD of 1-1/4" can be used, but the center opening of the base is 1/32" less than 1-1/4", so not correct. Skil sent a replacement base, but no difference.

Would Recommendfit perfectly in my JessEm router lift and a "portable" Woodcraft router cabinet that I wrapped in a workstation made of Lowe's clearance kitchen cabinets and a Project 72"x30" slab. The speed control and power switch are easily accessible. The ability to use 1/4" and 1/2" bits was a major factor in my choice. Lowes should be mor ecareful
Would Not RecommendI did not like anything, it arrived damaged. Apparently I was the second owner. The first owner damaged it and returned same to Lowes It was then sent to me as a new item, even though it still had sawdust on it from the first owners use.

Fence needs improvement
Would RecommendThe only area of concern for me has been the fence. It is a little loose on the back side the adjustment knobs do not help. The fence needs to be stronger. Otherwise very happy with the router I have had it for two months now. I bought the combo table with router RT1323-00. I just dont use the fence at all for anything with this table.
