Lots of coats to cover dark counter

I didn’t like that I needed so many coats (5) to cover my dark counters. Also the paint peeled off a bit when pulling off the tape, which means I have to buy the repair kit.

Shake the top can when buying

Overall the product wasn't bad. After applying 3 base coats. (because our vanity was so dark) I did some test runs on a spare piece of wood to get the veining technique down. Once I felt comfortable I applied to the vanity and let dry overnight. Went to put the top coat down the next morning and the liquid in the can was a solid. I ended up going to 3 different Lowes stores before I finally found a kit with a useable top coat. So that is something you want to check in the kit before buying. The ...

Must have artistic ability

I will definitely use this product again for future remodels or large craft projects. The rv counters look beautiful and brand new. Please make sure you have adequate ventilation when doing this!

Nice upgrade for countertop

Everything is clearly lined out for directions for use. Prep your area with a good clean, apply part one, apply veining, and apply part two. The kit comes with everything shown. Looks exactly like marble

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This looks very much like marble. My guests actually think that it is until I tell them that it’s countertop paint! It’s so pretty and so elegant looking. It take a while to paint and dry but, it’s worth it in the end result. I would highly recommend this product as a cheap alternative to expensive marble. It doesn’t chip and it’s very resistant to heat. I’ve put hot pots and pans on it and it doesn’t burn, milt or ruin.
