What Customers Are Saying

The product has received mixed reviews. Some found it easy to apply, durable, and effective at restoring the appearance of their decks. However, many reported issues with application, coverage, color consistency, and durability, with the product failing within a year even when used as directed. The consensus seems to be that this is a problematic product that does not live up to its claims.

It does work

Would Recommend

Read the reviews of this product. Agree that it is tough to apply, it is thick, 10X. It dries a little too fast, seems that I had at least a quart dried on my bucket!! But, it does stick if you clean your deck. I used a 2800 psi water spray with 3 gallons per minute flow. It lifts the dirt and opens the wood surface. This stuff sticks great and has lasted 3 years so far.

Good product

Would Recommend

Put this on a twenty five year old deck hoping to not have to replace it. Followed directions and it has held up great for 4 years. There is one small area 4X2 inches worn off from a leak in the gutter but other than that the rest of the deck and a flight of steps have held upextremely well to a lot of traffic and entertaining. The only negative has been a little fading and some peeling along the the hand railing.

Not long lasting solution for deck stain/filler

Would Not Recommend

We followed the instructions to a T and it looked good for the first year. After Spring rains and water dripping off our partial overhang on the deck, the stain started coming up in pieces. Now we have the deck not under cover peeling and a mess, and the area under the overhang still in OK condition. I am going to have to try and power wash this mess and start over with regular stain. Very disappointed and it is going to cost me quite a bit of money in the long run to fix this mess.

it would have been a lot better if all four gallons of paint were mixed the same. the first two I bought were the exact color I wanted, unfortunately the top coats, the last two purchased were a completely different color and now the porch does not match the shutters. it is too blue instead of green but it was too hard to do a third coat and much too expensive

Watse of Time and Money

Would Not Recommend

This product was put on last fall (2015) and started coming off Feb 2016. We followed the directions to a T...it looked good for a couple months then started peeling.... unfortunate we spent several hundreds and wish we could get something back for our time and trouble.

Warning- DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!

I can't believe Lowes is still selling this product! it is a total waste of time and money. It is very difficult to apply, and the finished product looks horrible! Then after just a few months, every time the wind blows it comes off in SHEETS! Now, a year later I'm just brushing it off with a broom! I tried to complain at the Lowes where it was purchased, and was informed they do not guarantee it, and I would have to file complaints with Rustoleum. So, after spending $1400, all I got was an 800 n...

Rust-oleum Restore 10X

Would Not Recommend

This is the worst paint that I have EVER worked with!!! It goes on terrible and dries terrible. We bought it because it looked great in the store and seemed very easy to apply. All you are supposed to do is sand your deck (which I did) and then paint it. Well, it was very difficult to apply, splashed all over the place and did not sink into the wood very well. We put on TWO coats and the next summer it was coming off. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND this to anyone. Don't waste your money!!!

RESTORE 10X ADVANCED

Would Recommend

I found this paint hard to work with. It does not spread well. I tried with a brush and a roller. The end result came out good, I got good coverage but had to work much harder than normal. This may be normal for this type of paint...I have never used it before. As far as longevity...ask me next October.

Easy to use

Would Recommend

I purchased this product to restore my concrete patio which was in pretty bad shape. I was hesitant to purchase after all the negative comments, but decided to go ahead and uses since I could not find anything else that I liked. Today, I put on my second coat and so far floor looks great. Restore 10X was easy to use and clean up was really easy. I spent about 2 hours applying each coat to cover a 10X12 floor. The only negative that I have is the amount estimated that you need to purchase is too ...

Trouble with color distribution

Would Recommend

This product was very simple to use. Bought the special roller and was perfect and very easy to roll on. Due to the consistency of the product mixing is quite difficult and I actually ended up not getting the same color distribution when apply the paint. In my circumstances it worked out well but I can see this being a big problem for others. I painted a small concrete staircase inside the basement cellar. Looks great and texture was perfect for covering up the imperfections.

Great Stuff

Would Recommend

I got this for the cement steps in front of my house. It covers great and filled in the little cracks. Really thick stuff so be prepared to work with it a little bit. The coverage is much less than with regular paint mainly because it is so thick.

Colors Will Never Match

Would Recommend

If you are going to stain with this product be sure to get it all at the same time. I have purchased four gallons at three separate times (asked for the same color from the color chart) but have received three different colors. Also, be sure they shake it at least three times or it will be like staining with cement. The stain itself seems very good and should last a really long time but it will take three times longer than regular stain to get the job done.

Rescue it stain

Would Not Recommend

Absolutely the worse stain I have ever used. Less than one year it is peeling like a bad sunburn. Didn't even last one year or better yet, one winter here in the mtns of N.C. It will be a job to try to get what is left off. I will send anybody pictures if they want them. Do not buy.

Easily Fills Cracks

Would Recommend

When I purchased this stain, the Lowe's employee told me I would have to stir it myself, even after their machine jostled it around for 5 minutes, because it was so thick...they were right. As I applied it, I noticed that it was the consistency of frosting and filled cracks very easily. The one downside to it (which is on the label) is that it does not spread very far. The label says it will spread 25 sq. ft. per gallon. I thought I could get it to go further, but if you spread it for too long t...
