What Customers Are Saying
The wallpaper scraper tool has received mixed reviews. While some users found it helpful and time-saving when used with a steamer or remover, others reported issues with the blade being too small, dull, or angled improperly, making it difficult to remove tougher or patterned wallpaper. Some users also experienced the tool damaging the wall surface. The effectiveness of the scraper appears to vary depending on the specific wallpaper removal project.

Would Not Recommendthe blade is too thick and it did not get under the wallpaper
Waste of money
Would Not RecommendThe product was expensive for what it was and didn't work well at all, very disappointed in lowes for selling a product like this
Great Little Tool
Would RecommendThis wallpaper scraping tool is worth every penny paid for it. After spraying the paper with a product to loosen or dissolve the glue, this tool scrapes it off the wall with little effort. Just keep the blade and the wheel on the tool both flat to the wall and you won't have to worry about gouging your drywall.
Good Value
Would RecommendIf you or the previous owner of your house did the wallpaper correctly then this tool will help you immensely. If it was done incorrectly then you have to put a little more muscle into using this tool but still works well.
The perfect tool
Would RecommendThis scraper exceeded my expectations. Got the job done quick and easy.
Not terribly helpful
Would Not RecommendMany other tools better suited. Small plastic scraper worked much better
Best tool we bought
Would RecommendRemoving wallpaper wasn't too bad, solely because this paired with the steamer was a dream! The only problem was paper residue getting underneath the blade between that and the plastic.
Wouldn't recomend it for single layer vinyl paper
Would Not RecommendI had no luck using this to remove a single layer of vinyl paper. I tried using it with a wall paper stripping solution and it only managed to scrape the wall board under the paper so bad that I had to spend time repairing it. I also tried to use it with a steamer and got the same results. Now I only had one layer of paper to remove so this tool might work better if there were multiple layer, this I don't know. Also it seemed to dig into the wall board too easily. It might work better on a plast...
Not as effective as I thought
Would Not RecommendAlthough I was looking for a wallpaper scraper that would not gouge the drywall underneath, this tool was no more effective that a regular putty knife.
Best design to scrape wallpaper easily
Would RecommendOnly downside is the scraping blade cannot be replaced. You must buy new unit when blade gets dull.
perfect size for my hand. unable to purchase replaceable blades
wished i had looked around more
Would Not RecommendBlade is very dull and replacements aren't available. Idea is good in theory but we ended up using a sharper tool from hr hardware department that was 1/5 the price and has extra blades available.
Ingenious tool
Would RecommendBought this to help take down wall paper and it was amazing. It has a roller on the opposite side so you don't accidentally gouge the walls when you're scraping. It worked really well and no gouges. Wall paper is tough to take down, this tool makes it a little less difficult...
Didn't accomplish anything
Would Not RecommendI purchased this to help take off wallpaper from our kitchen. The ergonomics on all this doesn't work well, as it is awkward to hold flat against the wall and move in any kind of direction while keeping the scoring tool flat. I used this in conjunction with the Piranha wallpaper remover liquid, which did a great job, but this didn't live up to my expectations. I ended up using a basic razor handle to remove the wallpaper. It ended up being much easier to hold and maneuver. Don't waste your money...
I like this tool!
Would RecommendI am using this tool in combination with the Wagner steamer (excellent). I am removing multiple layers of wall paper that was painted over, wall papered over, painted over, wallpapered over for 110 years. I was able to find the right timing of steaming a portion of wall while scraping the adjacent wall. A little scraping of stuck edges or areas often allowed me to pull off a large portion. The roller and the blade were exactly right for my purposes. It fit comfortably in my hand and did not stra...
DO NOT BUY!!!
Would Not RecommendThe blade dulls quickly and the stationary angle is too limiting. A standard 4" scraper with disposable razors has been the go-to for decades for a reason.
