Easy install

The installation was quick and simple with everything labeled and good instructions but the kit doesn’t have a few items for complete install. The heavy 10/3 or 8/3 wire which I was aware wasn’t included but two 3/4 inch wire clamps for install the remote mounted exterior plug and fixing the heavy wire to the switch aren’t included (cheep items about a buck each) and required a second trip to Lowe’s otherwise would have given it 5 stars

Safe effective way of using a generator for when power goes out.

good instructions and easy to install. Plan on purchasing additionnal conduit and wire if you don't have your inlet plug co-located with the switch panel. I ran mine to an outside wall of the house away from living areas to minimize the sound from the generator. Great kit and a pretty easy installation process. Recommend having someone knowledgeable to double check your work.

Wonderful Product

We had recently bought a Generac 8,000 generator at Lowes. We also purchased the transfer switch there. The electrician came this morning and hooked everything up. Relatively easy to install the hardware. Great instructions and prelabeled wires made the electrical install simple.

Easy to install and easy to use. Do some research on load balancing before you use to prevent overloading or damaging your generator. Lowe’s associates always helpful and courteous as usual!

Bought this at Lowes ( Not a problem with Lowes ). Had an electrician install it. Discovered that " circuit E " was non-functional next day. After extensive searching on various websites and forums for ideas as to what the problem is, located the problem. The red wire for circuit " E " was not attached to the proper corresponding toggle switch. This represents bad QC from the factory. Great product, quick install

The product is great. The transfer switch works flawlessly. There was online videos to make the process easier. I would buy again but maybe 10 circuits instead of 6.

Easy to install

Using the DVDs before beginning the installation made for a fast and efficient installation. I would recommend getting the 10 circuit model for more diversity

Easy in electric

This was recommended buy our salesman and proved to be the right choice. Instructions and video were easy to follow and hook-up went smoothly, worked first time. Everything that was needed was included! DVD helped and made installation easy and I was more confident about installing after seeing how to hook everything up!

Worth the money, easy to install. It is just what I was looking for.

Real easy install

If you have basic knowledge of home wiring you can do this direction are easy to understand . I have not done this before and it was easy did not use videos at all! The GE breakers are easy to replace or swap out too unlike other versions, with push button breakers. These are full size breakers.

Definitely would recommend to others . Even my wife that is not tech savvy was able to understand what to do to get it to work . . If installing remotely from generator say in a garage need 10 three wire.

Great product! Really easy to install and the instructions are very specific. The watt meters make it easy for me to keep the load balanced on each leg and not overload my generator. Glad to have made this purchase!
