As a female DIYer I have used this twice. I used it this time on the narrow concrete area under a outside door that had broken and crumbled and was becoming a home for bugs. Others have complained about issues with the bag opening which will not happen if you squeeze out the air when closing to mix. Covers only a small area

I purchased this product to repair an area of bricks where the mortar was falling out. There was no information on the package that stated how much 3lbs would cover. One package covered an area less than 2 square feet. Also, the 10 ounces of water was nowhere near enough. Lastly, it was hard to get it out of the package once it was mixed. I ended up pouring it into a plastic container and mixed it like concrete. I would not reccomend this product.

Mix Good, Packaging Not So Good

I bought this little bit of mortar as I was doing a small repair job. The mortar itself worked well, and the attached blade was useful, however the slide for the ziplock part was cheap and broke immediately, so using the bag as intended was impossible

Excellant Product

Easy instructions, easy to use, especially for a novice like me. Follow the instructions and it works exactly like it is supposed to. Who can ask for more than that?

Be quick, it sets quick

Love that this comes with everything needed for a small cement repair. It does set really quick. We had to add a little more water than directed. Be sure to have everything ready before you begin.

Good Product for Brick House Repairs

Recently purchased this product to repair some cracks and fill-in several gaps in the brickwork on the exterior of my house. The mortar works really well for this type of project, though there are several improvements that could be made: (1) I followed the instructions on the package to the letter, which called for mixing 10 ounces of water, and kneading the mix for 3 minutes. Possibly because it was a hot day (low 90s), despite working in the shade, I ended up having to add several more ounces...

Use

We bought this project to help even out the edges of a concrete countertop and fill in little holes. This product was great for fixing the edges, but too gritty for the little holes. It set very quickly and was very strong. I would definitely recommend it for structural projects.

Great product

Worked just as described on the packaging. Worked great for a small vertical patch job.

Short working time

There is too much printing on bag making it difficult to know visually when properly mixed. Extremely short work time even in 60-70 degree temperatures. Otherwise worked OK.

Good product; zip and mix...not really

I bought this to repair some holes in the cement block walls in my basement. This seemed like the best choice as it was supposed to set up fast, was just the small amount I needed, and I could mix it right in the bag!! The directions say to zip the seal off, add the water, zip it shut and knead it until it's mixed. I found that just about impossible to do. Good intentions

It sounded like a great idea for a small concrete repair job but the concrete didn't get evenly moistened and then the zipper wouldn't seal so had to place it in a larger ziplock bag to mix. Then the concrete was hard to get out of the bag with the enclosed spreader. In theory if it worked you would throw everything away and have less mess.

CEMENT MIX IN A BAG

this is a good product for someone who is not a 'do-it-yourself-r'!! it came in it's own little mix-able bag w/a plastic spreader (trowl). you just add water, close it back up, knead the bag, open bag back up, & apply. all of that was great i thought, especially since i am a female. it really was easy. it doesn't do a large area thou. it really is for patching small areas. what i didn't like about it is that it is 3 times more than had i just bought a bag that was 3 times bigger that i just mix ...
