I put up around our small lanai and we all love it, once we figured out how to get the remote to work with it. No where in the instructions does it say that the remote is IR (infared) and must be pointed directly at the control box of the light string. Furthermore, the bottom of the control box must be facing out toward the user. Otherwise, nothing happens when you press any button on the remote. Perfect design!

Shocked when honey. Told me the cost. Until, we put them up.Wow nice, now back to the store for more Heavey duty wire, good mounts to hang. The design of the fixture for bulb well thought out.

Great looking lights and very easy to mount along patio. Well worth the purchase.

LED STRING LIGHTS

We were looking for a "longer" set of lights for our porch and the 24' length is perfect for our application. The remote works well and we would recommend this product for the versatility, color and overall results.

Pricey, but have been happy with using them. The lighting features are great. Just worried about finding replacements if bulbs get damaged or go out.

These lights are great....the colors and lighting. The only thing i would’ve liked was an option to have the multi color stay on continuously.

Great addition

Pros This is a great addition to the gazebo we just purchased. Everyone that visits compliments them. I love the fact that there are so many different color options and settings. Pricy but well worth it. Cons The remote has to be right next to the receiver to operate. One of the two strings I purchased didn’t change colors. Just had to return it and exchange for a new set.

Nice lighting, but it needs to be brighter

Nice lighting, but it needs to be brighter. For the price you think there would be 18 lights instead of 12. We do you like the ambience.

portfolio light changing string lights

Very durable. As I was hanging them I dropped the set. Not one bulb cracked or shattered. Considering these are going to be exposed outside I was happy to see them hold up that well. The only negative that I can say is that the remote/ or the signal receiver is not very powerful. I have to get close to the set to use the remote.

uggg - lights turn on red, need ladder w/ remote

Purchased 7/21/18. Installed. Seemed remote was broken so went and bought new battery. Same problem. Turns out you just need to be in 1 foot of sensor. Also if these lights are switched, default color is red so you have to get on a ladder with remote to change to white. Will be returning.

Remote did not work!

Like a lot of other customers stated, the remote did not work right out of the box. Changed battery, but still did not work. Will be returning and buying lights from another retailer. Do not want to risk time and effort of putting up a new set of Portfolio lights only to have remote fail within a few days.

EXCELLENT PRODUCT

I'm not sure why there are negative comments about these lights. They look and work fantastic for me! I highly recommend these lights to everyone I know.

Remote doesn't work

Spent around an hour, high up on a ladder putting to find out the remote didn't work. Took down and returned.

Remotes dont work

Bought two sets of lights yesterday, got them all hung up to only realize neither of the two remotes work...so i will be returning these unfortunately. Dont waste your time or money unless you dont mind them being stuck on the color red.

Remote issues

The remote needs improvement. Not as responsive as it should be. I replaced the battery thinking it was low, but it didn't help.
