Good connector

I have used enthuse connectors for several years and have had no problem with them. I would buy again

Low Quality

Was very difficult to establish a solid connection. Lights were 16 ga wire and It was very difficult for the connector to repeatedly pierce the wire. Had to pre-pierce each wire and then put a small piece of mulch in there to help sandwich it when tightening the cap.

Terrible!

This is one of the worst designs of a connector I have ever seen. It will work fine on 12 or 14 gauge wire but forget 16 gauge even though they say it will accommodate it. Directions are poorly written. Again if you have 12 or 14 it will probably work fine, but there are other connectors out there that work much better than this.

Fix Your Malibu Lights!

If you have basic skills that allow you to line up the wires on the pins you can use these to replace the garbage connectors that Malibu puts on their lights. Just cut the malibu connectors off, then test the light on a car battery. If it's good, take this Portfolio connector completely apart (into 4 pieces. top cap chaos!

My God man, nowhere, NOWHERE, does it explain how to get the top cap off for the light wire. I had to spend a half hour googling to find out about having to spread two tabs with two hands and then use your third hand to yank it out. Besides that fatal flaw, works great! But when the copper spikes are gone on all 20 of my lights after two years, thats $60. Too expensive.

These are supposed to be easy?

why not add in a few more parts? This is a train wreck! Most fixture wires are very thin, so you have to line them up inside part "B" or "C" and expect them not to move while you press down with the other part and the little point is supposed to pierce the wire to make a connection? TRAIN WRECK!

NOT A SIMPLE CONNECTOR

Bought this to replace a connector that was used for 18 years on my deck lights. I could not find the original style clip I was reluctant to purchase these. I know, the more simple the better, and that is very true for these fixture connections for outdoor lighting. These are 10 times more difficult to attach for their purpose, and the most complicated way to make a connector ever! After attaching this clip it did not work, partly because of the pitiful design. Short lived

I purchased and installed these summer of 2018. This winter one of the lights I connected using these went out. I found that the pins that pierce the insulation had corroded off. If you use these, don't bury them!

Bad design, terrible actually

Will not work with your standard 14 gauge low voltage landscape wire..16 gauge?maybe.. the pins are too short! How do you design a product that will not work with the MOST COMMON landscape wire? It’s like pulling up to a gas station only to find out the gas filler opening in your car is too small! You only had one job! jeez

I tried 2 and neither pierced the wire

These were included in lights that I purchased but I couldn’t get them to pierce/make connection even with wire flat in slots.

the contractor that was installing the lighting in a new lanai couldn't get these to work on the smaller light wires

Easy to install connector

Works great! Installed 2 of these a couple weeks ago and have not had any problems. Seems to be waterproof. Wish I had found and used these cable connectors sooner. Perfect for low voltage landscape lighting.

Great Product

Worked very well to repair previously installed clips that had aged. A very quick repair.

Good for 2/16 wire only

They are okay for light wire but if you are running a string and using 12/2 wire forget about it. I cut them off LED lights and use another connector.
