What Customers Are Saying
The flush valve is a reliable and affordable solution for fixing running toilet issues. Many customers found it easy to install without a plumber, and it effectively stops the tank from continuously filling after a flush. However, some noted that the included parts did not fully match their existing toilet setup, requiring additional purchases. Overall, with the right installation, the valve works well and restores the toilet to like-new operation.

Would RecommendI especially appreciate the seasoned advice from my Lowe's plumbing salesman. He helped me determine the Mansfield parts that I needed for my toilet and suggested how to install.
worked fine without reading directions
Would RecommendI took the red seat off the piece attached to the tank and replaced the other half of the seat. I did not remove the tankas the directions stateand I have the new seats in place. Quick fix.
Good Alternative
Would RecommendI purchased this valve after having good results with one purchased about a year ago. I was tired of replacing angled flappers only to have them leak. I think this makes a better seal. I also think the water empties faster and so creates a stronger flush which is helpful with the "water-saving" toilets that require two flushes to get the job done. The instructions for the valve say to use the chain from the flapper valve being replaced. A chain (shown in the picture) doesn't come with the valve....
Effective but should include a gasket
Would Not RecommendThis product was effective since the same product previously existed in my toilet. The biggest issue I found is that is does not include a tank to bowl gasket that properly fits over the hexnut. I was able to use my existing gasket but I would have preferred to replace it during the repair project. The staff at my local Lowe's plumbing department was not able to identify a gasket that would work. Nevertheless, my toilet is functioning 1 week after the repair so the product appears to be effectiv...
Perfect replacement, no extra parts needed.
Would RecommendThis Mansfield replacement part was a perfect fit. No extra parts needed. Excellent value. This is a simple job even for a new DIYer. Only needed tools shown on package, directions simple and clear.
Easy to install!
Would RecommendThought I would have to call a plumber, but I was able to replace the ball cock and the flush valve by myself. Had to remove the tank, but it was pretty easy! Proud of myself and saved a lot of cash! Thanks Lowe's!!!
Side Handle replacement fix
Would RecommendI had a customer that has a side handle Eljer Toilet that had troubles lifting the traditional flapper. She bought a new handle that was was not a Eljer brand. The new handle has an even shorter lifting mech. So I replaced the entire guts with this and a new fill valve. I hooked the chain to the bottom of this flush valve. there are 2 places at the bottom to hook the chains. I set the water level real low and it still flushs better then a flapper and uses less water.

mansfield flush valve for mansfield toilet
Would RecommendIt was a pain in the neck to install as you have to remove the whole tank
Took Care Of My Problem
Would RecommendGreat value for the flush valve. Had looked other places and just wanted to much for the part. Was ready to just replace the toilet.
Poor Quality Parts
Would Not RecommendThe retainer disc at the top of the standpipe broke in use due to it not being designed to be strong enough and it was made of poor materials. As a result it had to be replaced, however, the only way to acquire the disc is to buy the entire standpipe & flush valve assembly.for ~$10 where the disc piece is worth about 50 cents. Since I had the entire assembly I replaced the flush valve it dumped much more water than the original one. If there was a way to adjust the amount of water per flush, it ...
It is what it is...
Would RecommendI prefer some of the newer designed toilet replacement parts, but needed to stick with similar replacement parts with my particular toilet. Installation was easy enough, but you certainly want to have the right tool to tighten the large plastic retaining nut. Replacement is working fine and corrected the constant leaking of the old part.
simple to install
Would RecommendThis was so easy and quick to install and works wonderful@
Does NOT include all seals and washers.
Would Not RecommendYou must remove the tank to install the part. This part has a redesigned nut on the bottom, which WILL NOT WORK with the tank-to-bowl seal that was on my toilet, and it does NOT include a new tank to bowl seal. Tomorrow I find out if Lowe's sells a seal that will work with the hex nut on the bottom of this part.
Far better than a flapper valve
Would RecommendIf you hate flapper valves you'll love these. There were 3 of these installed in my home when I bought it new. In 20 years there has been only 1 time the valve stuck in the up position. This was actually because the handle was binding slightly. Replacing the seal is very simple. I've only replaced 4, usually after using chlorine tablets in the tank. To replace the flapper type valve with the Mansfield, you'll have to remove the tank which really isn't that difficult. That effort is easily wort...
it works
Would Recommendif you have to replace the org. one then just unscrew the blue top of it and put the new top on and youdont have to remove the tank or i didnt
