What Customers Are Saying
The flush valve is a reliable and affordable solution for fixing running toilet issues. Many customers found it easy to install without a plumber, and it effectively stops the tank from continuously filling after a flush. However, some noted that the included parts did not fully match their existing toilet setup, requiring additional purchases. Overall, with the right installation, the valve works well and restores the toilet to like-new operation.

Even as it solved my toilet problem, my plumber said its missing a part that should be there. The process of finding it was annoying and toresome as I had to search for an associate and that proved to be a chore I dont want to repeat, AND he did not seem to know what I was talking about even though zi had a picture. I eventually found the part myself.
Perfect for the price...
This flush valve is good for DIY project, first time replacing the flush valve on my own without any assistance. The water was leaking though I replaced the flush valve seal couple of times and later decided to replace the full flush valve system.
Almost same as old part...
Would RecommendAs some have described, it does not have the weight in the bottom of the flush valve which kept the entire tank from emptying each flush. It looks identical and works the same as the OEM part, but you will certainly use far more water over time. Ensure you get a GOOD rubber gasket for the tank base seal as this does not come with that part, and it is essential for a good seal. The Hex Nut does not hold the gasket as well as the OEM round one did. Putting the tank back on will require some pat...
Know what “gasket sold separately” means.
Would RecommendIt works great after figuring out what “gasket sold separately “ means. It was confusing not just to me. Directions and pictures weren’t that obvious or clear. I did keep researching until I realized they meant the big sponge gasket (after I bought a wrong part) that goes over the big nut and seals area between the toilet tank and toilet. I was inexperienced so maybe all my fault. Consult store plumber if possible or find right youtube video explaining.
Replaced 30-year old valve perfectly
Would RecommendGreat replacement
Locknut doesn't seal with tank-to-bowl gasket
Would RecommendThe Bottom Locknut in this kit is hexagonal (presumably to tighten easier with grip from pliers), but it doesn't seat well with the replacement tank-to-bowl gasket at Lowe's (Reliabilt part # 1418565 labeled "For Mansfield"). After many attempts to tighten tank to base properly, I would get leaking at the tank-to-bowl gasket. Only once I used the old locknut from the old flush valve being replaced, I had no more leaks. I am not sure if this is a problem with this Flush Valve kit #0247823 or the ...
Factory part
Would Recommendinstalls easily , does what it is supposed to do . Uses a lot of water . 3 gallon flush .
better than universal kit
Would RecommendThis plunger style flush valve is what my 1984 Mansfield toilet was equipped with. it was having trouble flushing completely and i could not figure out why. the korky fill valve was leaking but the very old flush valve was not. i almost replaced the whole thing but decided to rebuild with new parts. I almost got the fluid master complete kit but i wasn’t sure of my flush valve diameter. then i found this part identical to what i have. it is an easy replacement. you don’t need to trim the ...
Disappointing
Would Not RecommendAfter install, no problems with the install, first flush I discovered it is not a two stage flush. It empties the entire tank at once instead of the original Mansfield valve I replaced that has short flush unless the handle is held down. I have to manually lift the handle after flushing to stop it for a short flush/fill. I'm not taking it off to return. I'll have to live with it. It said for Mansfield but it isn't an exact match. I bought two, planning for my other bathroom toilet but I may retu...
Flush valve
Would Not RecommendKit includes large plastic nut to hold valve to the bottom of the tank, but has no bushing to seal between the tank and the bowl. This nit is six sided and the bushing that was on it has formed to the nut it had which is round. Need to include the bushing even if it means bumping the price a couple bucks.
Flush Value Replacment
Would RecommendExact part replacement. Easily to install No plumber needed Will buy in the future if needed
