What Customers Are Saying

The machine effortlessly handles large, knotted, and dense hardwoods up to 32 inches in diameter, with 27-ton hydraulic power splitting a half-cord or more in under an hour. Reviewers consistently highlight heavy-duty construction, reliable cold-weather starting, and ease of operation. A small number report minor issues with initial hydraulic fluid levels or assembly inconsistencies, but these are typically user-adjustable or isolated. Overall, most customers consider it an exceptional bargain that exceeds expectations.
Customer review summary generated by AI, including incentivized reviews. After reading the reviews, I decided to take a chance and ordered this splitter, but ordered it unassembled. When I picked it up at store, it was fully assembled. I asked for one in a crate but was told it was there last one. I looked it over best I could and it seemed to be properly assembled. Towed it home, added engine oil and gas, and it started on the first pull. In about a half hour, I split close to a half cord of wood. It worked flawlessly. Follow directions, ADD OIL and Gas, and you sho...
Make sure you put the oil in before starting

Perfect homeowner splitter
Would RecommendGot this splitter, Loews assembled it and hooked it up to the truck. Tows well on the interstate Easy to operate, I used it in both positions, the vertical splitting setting was perfect for the large trees I was splitting because I was working alone, the horizontal setting was good for the smaller pieces, the roll on table in this position is perfect . Used it for 4 solid days so far, no issues at all.

I’ll never swing a maul again!
Would RecommendWhat a great machine. Our primary source of heat is wood and this splitter produces about a cord of wood in 3.5 hours. It’s really solid construction and it tows behind a vehicle nicely. I’m splitting some pretty large logs. Several have knots. It’s splkit everything ive thrown at it. I’m slitting mostly maple, oak, ash, cherry and apple.
Great intro log splitter
Would RecommendFull disclosure, Lowes is limited on log splitters, and the employees don't know anything about them, but I did buy the best one they have. It's a great log splitter for the person who's never owned one before. Be sure both the oil and hydraulic fluid are full when you start using it (Lowe's set up mine and only filled the hydraulic fluid half way). It's very easy to use. The log cradle makes it very easy when you have larger logs to split. It could be a bit faster, but you get what you...

Wow Surprised !
Would RecommendBetter than expected. If it will fit it will split it. Really surprised how powerful it is. Ran pretty much non-stop for 3 hours worked flawlessly Highly recommend.
Works as.advertized. Much easier to split large pieces using the vertical position. Time will tell it's durability.

Yes!!
Would RecommendThis log splitter is great!! Never met a log it didn’t split. As long as the each end of the log is reasonably flat it’s getting split in half.
Great to have
Would RecommendGreat to have and worth every penny. I had some wood that if not for this it would not have ever got split. Plenty of power and an all around great product to have.

Works good! It would be nice if I was able to put it together. I had to go all the way through it anyway before I could use it.

fantastic unit so far
Would RecommendI've run over 4 cord of wood through this splitter since I've owned it. It's only been a month or so. It starts on the first pull every time, and sounds great. It has split everything I put in it's way. For the money this splitter is totally worth it. The shelf on the side is a necessity. The only short comings I've found are: it could use an engine guard, I've had some wood pop off and hit the engine lightly. I'll probably make something myself for that. Also, I've had problems with chips getti...
