it works but..

OK first off is lack of hydraulic fluid. it takes 6.5 gallon. only had 1 in it. then after filling running to burp system. I go to use it and the detent does not work..

It's A Beast

I put it to the ultimate test and it passed with flying colors! I hit a knot on a log and it bogged for a second and then pressed it's way.

Gas tank rusts from the inside

I bought this about a year ago, and used it all summer. I take it out of storage and check the levels and I see stuff floating in the gas tank. Turns out it's rust. It took me an hour and a half to clean out the tank.

Great splitter but read instructions carefully!

Great log splitter. Instructions are a little lacking though and I nearly ruined it by adding oil to the gas tank! Luckily I double checked and all is well. Works great but a little loud.

broke after 1hr of use

The hydrolic stopped working so I returned it the day after i bought it. I boight a new one that wasnt stored outside and am awaiting assembly. Fingers crossed it works as expect

I needed more than some wedges and a sledge hammer. Since this unit is able to split vertically, I am able to split logs much bigger than I can pick up. This is very easy to start and has plenty of power. It splits logs full of knots much easier than I expected. I am currently splitting logs over 24 inches in diameter which weigh much more than I can pick up. I split them into pieces I can handle with it vertically and then split the pieces again multiple times with the splitter in the horizonta...

Junk engine! Logs fall the tiny table on to the gas tank.

Lying employees

This log splitter is awesome, but make sure it has oil in it ! I was told it had all of its fluids in it except gas. I tried to start it and it just wouldn’t start. After 5 min I checked the oil and of course nothing…. I had to go back and get oil for it.

This tool was more than what I expected

The sales staff was great at helping through the entire process of my purchase...

Poor quality.

I received as a gift. I didn't use it until after 90 days so Lowes wouldn't let me return. The hydraulic fluid started shooting out of the breather hole. I took it in for manufacturer warranty. They flushed hydraulic fluid and refilled it. The problem didn't go away. They said there was nothing more they could do. After spending a lot of money on fluid and filters and flushing it myself the problem persists.
