What Customers Are Saying
Customers overwhelmingly praise this bird seed for attracting cardinals, finches, blue jays, and other species that return frequently and consume it eagerly. Many highlight the appeal of sunflower seeds and peanuts in the mix. However, a notable group expresses frustration with increased filler seeds like milo and wheat that birds discard, viewing this as a formula decline. Some feel the product is overpriced given uneaten seed waste. Despite these concerns, most customers consider it a reliable choice that delivers strong bird activity and satisfaction.

Would RecommendThis wild bird seed mix is sure to fill the bellies of the neighborhood wild birds! The 10 pound bag is filled with an assortment of seeds, and I was happy to see lots of sunflower seeds! watch out for shipping charges
Would RecommendI wanted a 40 lb seed bag for $29 but there was a $10 shipping charge so I bought the 20lb seed bag with no shipping charge, why is there a charge on one item and not the other? not happy with the outrageous shipping charge, will not pay a 33% markup shipping charge on a $29 item

This is my favorite product for my birds
Would RecommendI have been using your product for almost 3 years, but this last bag I bought, I was kind of disappointed because it had fewer sunflower seeds than usual and my doves and many other birds ear everything else my Cardinals are short changed with this last bag I purchased. Perhaps the machine or something was low on sunflower seeds. Sorry, I am sure it was a mishap in some way, I just wanted you to be aware.

My birds won't even come to my feeders anymore
Would Not RecommendTerrible mix, my birds won't even eat it and won't come to my feeders. Very disappointed in all of the Pennington foods. I also at the same time but a 40 lb bag of sunflower seeds that had been eaten by worms which I did not know it first. Tried feeding those as well and all of my birds disappeared. Hopefully they didn't die. Will not feed their foods again.

Peanuts don't work
Would Not RecommendI put this bird feed in my feeder. When I was pouring the bird seed, i found in shell peanuts. These will not go through my bird feeder. Very disappointed. Also after the first use of the rest of the feed, I found three dead birds in my yard. I wonder if there is a connection. Also, this is my second bag of the same thing. I am wondering about buying any more. I have used this product for years but now I am questioning. I hope you change things.

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear About the dead birds but feel our feed was not the cause. Did you have the birds tested?
Last longer
Would RecommendVariety of seeds as well as sunflower seeds and corn.
Poor quality!!
Would Not RecommendI have noticed in the last several 40lb bags that there are excessive amounts of twigs and debris in the seed. I feel I have wasted my money on at least the last 2 bags I purchased.

I'VE SEEN STEMS AND THEY DON'T BOTHER ME BUT HOWEVER I DRAW THE LINE AT GLASS!!!!! I'M ABOUT HALF WAY THROUGH THIS BAG AND I AM CONCERNED ABOUT THE BIRDS I HAVE BEEN FEEDING WITH THIS. I have put this seed out and no birds will eat it.
Would Not RecommendI put chopped almonds in it to try to get the birds to eat it. They still will not. I flipped a glass outdoor table over filled it with chopped nuts, seed, and peanuts in the shell. Still no birds. Does this seed repel birds?

Full of Milo Seeds and Insect Pest!
Would Not RecommendReally! Birds will simply kick the Milo seeds out of the feeders choosing the white millet seeds instead. This is nothing new and is common knowledge among bird enthusiast. Seems to me Pennington is using the Milo seeds to fluff the bag with inferior useless Milo seeds in order to increase their profit! Also, I have notice increasingly more stems and trash in the seed bags. Seriously guys, you can do much better for the consumers that purchase your products!
