Not great.

I’ve had this thing for 2 years based on the fact that I can’t afford to buy a different one. I’ve had buyers remorse for those two years. It has a clear picture when it works but it runs on wifi so that means it will NEVER be as reliable as you need it to be. It doesn’t matter how great your wifi is either, a lot of the time it just chooses not to work.

DO NOT BUY

Seriously the worst thing I’ve ever bought. It fails to work every day. You open the open, it works for a second, then stops. You try again, fails. Keep trying opening closing the app for 5-10 minutes and you may or may not be able to get the thing to work. Also, no way this thing is 1080p quality. What a joke. We should seriously file a class action lawsuit this camera is so bad. I feel lied to and misled.

The most unreliable product

The most unreliable camera and product. Never consistently works and takes ages to load when it does. Don’t get this camera. It’s terrible.

Big Miss

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve tried to look at the camera late at night and suddenly the camera is offline. It is the most annoying thing ever.

Horrible lagging and connection issues

i had the owlet smart sock two for my first child in 2017 and used it until he was 13-14 months old or so. This monitor has issues

I have been using this baby monitor for about a year as it was given to me as a gift, and it has caused me nothing but stress. For one, every time I open the app, it takes an EXCESSIVE amount of time to load the video screen. And this doesn't happen just every once in a while, it happens almost every time I open the app to check on my daughter. I have good wifi in my house, so I know this is not the issue. The one to get

A few highlights: it was a little difficult to setup. Slight delay in the video feed to the live display on my mobile device. Like ability to turn off the indictor light because there are no distracting lights at night. Adjustable base to point camera. Customizable push notifications to your smart phone, tablet. Can hear room audio. Two way audio: Can talk via the app but the speaker on the camera is not great sound quality.

Unreliable

Do NOT waste your money. We’ve had the cam for almost 2 years now. We’ve had constant connectivity issues with it since day one. We gave great internet throughout the house. No other wifi connected product we own has issues. I even purchased and set up a wifi extender, which seemed to mostly (but not always) solve the problem for a few months. Never works when I need it most

I don’t know if this is the camera or the app that’s the problem. But I swear it knows when something is out of the ordinary or when my baby is sick. It always works when it’s a normal night. But as soon as something happens or she is sick and I want to pay more attention the stupid thing says offline cannot display video. I’ve had it for over 2 years, the sock was fine. Overall a great monitor!

We’ve had our owlet for a little over a year now and it’s been great! Super easy to install and take with us on trips or overnights with the grandparents. I also love knowing the temp in her room! My only complaint would be how often it disconnects for us, but that is probably just due to our Wi-Fi. Would still recommend!

Don’t use the latest WiFi system installed house

This company doesn't have fundamental hardware technologies. Because It can not use dual-channeled, 2.4GHz and 5GHz, WiFi service. It is definitely a worthless product I have never seen before. Not to buy and use for the latest WiFi-installed house. If this company doesn't have hardware technology, you should doubt software technology of monitoring service, saving baby service and also security service.

Agree with all the reviews about poker connectivit

Bought this camera as it was on sale at the baby hq. Had the sock. The connectivity was the main thing letting it down on reviews and I’d absolutely have to agree. When you need it to work it doesn’t. When it does work there’s about a 20 second delay. Motion sensor works for you going in the room but not baby moving. Ove upgraded my internet speed to see if that was the problem and no change.

Horrible, unreliable.

Basically never works. Never connects. Always has faults. Same with sick base. Had our internet checked, not a wifi issue. 100% on the product. Waste of money.

App always loses connection

The picture/sound quality is great...when the app connects. 6/10 times the app will not connect or lose connection. I have reached out to customer service & they tell me it’s a problem with my wifi. Meanwhile I’ve lived in two different homes with this camera & never had an issue with other devices on wifi. This product is so terrible I cannot wait to get something new for my next child. I would NEVER recommend.

We Love Our Owlet!

We have absolutely loved our Owlet Cam since day 1. The reliability and clarity of the video feed have been great! Super easy to install and the cable guards add a nice, clean look to it. We have recommended this product to several friends.

Great for toddlers

I love our Owlet camera for keeping and eye on our toddler while I get ready or complete housework. I can easily see and hear him playing and know he’s safe, so it gives me peace of mind throughout the day!

DO NOT BUT THIS!

I have had this product for less than 2 months and it hardly ever works!!! Which is very inconvenient when you’re trying use use it after you put your baby to sleep. It also doesn’t come with an actually monitor so if it doesn’t work on your phone, you’re just out of luck. Customer service wants me to do 80 million things to try and fix it. I’d just rather use our cheap one that I know actually works.

What guideline did this violate

Just received. Did not buy refurbished but think that's what I received. Black screen has little scratches all over. The sticker over the lens left a residue that is really hard to remove. No Idea if it works because when I got the app and tried to sign up it said it sent a verification email. Never received. Yes I checked spam. Try to get it to resend and says wait at least a minute. It has been saying that for almost an hour.

Camera is HORRIBLE

The owlet camera is absolutely horrible. It freezes all the time and there has been many times my baby was awake but the camera displayed him sleeping. It is very unreliable and dangerous. For the safety of your baby DO NOT purchase!
