Horrible Connection

The camera always had troubles connecting to the WiFi… when I needed to check on my son I couldn’t see anything. It was always loading. And the sock always set off the alarm for no reason.

If it worked consistently it would be great

I've had this for about 6 months and when it works it's really great. The problem is it is always having issues connecting to the wifi. My gateway is pretty close and no other device has issues. I spend multiple hours a week trying to reconnect it. This is probably the most frustrating piece of technology I've ever owned. I'm all honestly if I could go back I wouldn't have bought it and just stick with the ankle monitor by itself.

DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THE CAMERA

The only reason I am giving this rating a 2 instead of a 1 is because of the sock! The camera is a complete waste of money. Waste of time!

Initially, when we got the camera as a gift, we were excited and had it set up so when the baby came, we knew everything would be up and running. Fast-forward to now, and we are unable to connect our camera again to our Wi-Fi. We have followed the step-by-step guide that is provided by Owlet and have followed all of the recommendations and we are still unable to get it out of pairing mode. Absolutely horrible

If you want a camera that is always loading, never has the picture and sound working at the same time , and again just never actually works. Then this is your guy. But if you want to actually monitor your kid, probably go with something else.

we love our sock and camera!!

We bought the duo for our son when he was born 2 years ago and absolutely loved it! He does not wear the sock anymore, but we moved the monitor to above his bed and love still being able to see him. We are gearing up for our second child, so looking into another camera that he can use and sister can get his sock and camera, peace of mind to see both of them and monitor the baby! Unreliable, especially for cost

We've now been using our camera for almost 10 months, and I'm extremely disappointed. My favorite thing about the Owlet is that it displays temperature and humidty. Other than that, I find it extremely unreliable and annoying to set-up on the go, especially given the cost. WORST CAMERA EVER!

I leave it on as background so I can hear for my baby at night. I always have the volume up and it constantly turns the volume off or disconnects from the camera altogether. I have to keep the app open and not use anything else - really drains phone battery. I do not recommend this product at all. It’s constantly having issues connecting to WiFi. Poor Internet connection

I bought this to monitor my baby and didn’t realize that it uses an outdated usb port and 2.4 gig WiFi. The WiFi is issue make this device worthless . Do not believe the reviews . I hope no parent makes the terrible decision to buy from this company. Cheap knock offs work better buyer beware.

Most stress-inducing product

I got the sock and cam combo when my baby was born. The sock never worked. Just when my baby would fall asleep, it would disconnect from WiFi and chime incessantly waking him up and making us start the process of trying to get him down all over again. the worst baby cam I've used

the app takes so long to load and half the time doesn't work. its a horrible product. the only real use for it is being able to see in the room from away from the home bc it connects to wifi, but even then you are waiting for 3 min just for the video to even load, with or without using wifi.

Not worth the money

I got this monitor for my baby shower and had problems with it from the beginning. We struggled with the setup and wifi settings, which were advertised as very easy to use. Once we got the monitor up and running, it would often cut out from the wifi and close out the app during the night so we were not able to hear our baby cry. I have two owlet cameras that I really enjoyed. However, I wish I would have read all the reviews on the internet regarding how these cameras are common to being hacked. After our little girl informed us that someone started talking to her, and she came running to my wife, it caused me to start researching. Worst camera I’ve owned

I bought this with the owlet sock and expected it to be a good quality. I do not like anything about it. The camera quality is awful and really delayed. It doesn’t have good notification settings. It constantly unpairs from my WiFi and I have to reset it after I realize it isn’t working and my son is already asleep. I hate that it only takes little snippets of video if it decides there’s something worthy of capturing. It thinks the jingling of my son’s toy is crying. It’s just not good…

This camera is trash and isn’t 5ghz compatible….. the camera is still stuck in the Stone Age…. Most routers are wifi6 and 5ghz now a days…..

Owlet Camara

WORST baby camara I’ve seen. I was so excited to buy this monitor and it has unbelievable let me down. I can never get it to connect and it’s ridiculously hard to connect. I reconnect to WiFi it’ll work for a couple hours max then stops again. The sock works great but I would never recommend the camara to any new mom it doesn’t easy my worries at all!!

Wish it had a separate monitor screen

Love the dream sock and owlet cam duo. Really easy to have both in one app. Great image and sound. Delay is very minor maybe 2 seconds. Rarely have trouble with loading. Gives me ease throughout the night or any time I’m not around. Only thing is that I wish there were a separate screen monitor to place around your home. Sometimes I’m busy in the kitchen and can’t open my phone to check on my baby. Or if someone is watching my son they won’t have access to it to check on him while he naps.
