What Customers Are Saying
Customers praise this solenoid as an effective, easy-to-install replacement that resolves sprinkler valve issues like failure to shut off or activation problems, with most reporting immediate results. Many complete installation in under ten minutes without professional help. Reviewers highlight broad compatibility across Rain Bird, Orbit, Irritrol, and other brands, noting it works as a universal substitute for discontinued models. However, some report product images don't match received items, with newer designs arriving instead of pictured versions. A few mention buzzing, O-ring incompatibility, or wiring modifications needed. Despite these drawbacks, most customers consider it a reliable, cost-effective solution.

Would RecommendThe only problem was like I had to reuse the bottom part from old one. I was not aware of it, but it worked well with those things. The reason for replacing was my valve was not shutting off even if I close it. Replacing the valve with this fixed the problem...

Solenoid
Would RecommendThis solenoid has 1/2" threads and an adapter for 3/4" threads. Home Depot had only 3/4" threads. This is a great item and saves a repeated trip back to the store

Says it replaces ALL Orbit 24V solenoids
Would Not RecommendI have Orbit 24V solenoid - the threads on this replacement solenoid are the wrong pitch so won't screw in properly
Orbit Sprinkler Solenoid Replacement
Would RecommendExisting Orbit solenoid took a dive. Dropped by my local Lowe's and got one. Replaced it and was back in business within one hour!

Good replacement for Weathermatic m24e
Would Not RecommendResearched online for in-store replacement for Weathermatic m24e (s20p) solenoid and saw some successful reports. So i bought on and compared it to the old Weathermatic one and this one matched up (thread size, plunger length) good. I did notice the Weathermatic plunger tip had a larger rubber cap where the Orbit had a smaller rubber tip but i took a chance it would be compatible and it was. One thing to note, be sure to transfer the o-ring from the base of the threads on the solenoid to the Orb...

Fixed an old valve, Avoided a Costly Replacement
Would RecommendA nine year old valve was not shutting off correctly. I replaced the diaphragm, and thought I had fixed the valve. Later it refused to shut off, and tapping it had no effect. I replaced the solenoid, and it appears fixed at this point. Had it not worked, I was facing a complicated and costly replacement. Orbit no longer offers the valves like mine which came with a triple valve manifold. Replacing the single valve would have been complicated; replacing all three would have been expensive an...

Sprinkler Valve - returned to normal operations.
Would RecommendMy sprinkler system has been in for 30 years and lately some erratic operation on two valves. Research indicated to replace the solenoids (magnetic operator). I did and all is operating quite normal since. Right part, right price, right now! A perfect DIY fix.
