Would Not RecommendMy sprinkler system uses Weathermatic valves with the Weathermatic S20P solenoid. I noticed another poster said this solenoid will work to replace the Weathermatic M24E solenoid. Well, Weathermatic says that the S20P will replace the M24E now that it's been discontinued. So, logically, if this Orbit works to replace the M24E, and the S20P is the recommended replacement for the M24E by Weathermatic, I presumed that this one should work for me. I was wrong. Would RecommendJust wanted to confirm that this does work as a replacement to the weathermatic m24e! Bought it today and it works just fine. My sprinkler system was blowing a fuse whenever it got to a certain zone. Replacing the solenoid fixed the problem. On my control panel, i noticed that the red wire belonged to the zone that was having issues. I checked the valves and found the one that had the red wire lead, so i replaced the solenoid on that valve. Make sure you turn the water off first, as it will star...

I checked online, but the price for the solenoid was as much as a new water valve. This one at Lowe's was about half the price of a new water valve and was an easy replacement.
