Would RecommendPicture is for incorrect Solenoid. Orbit changed the solenoid but did not change the model#. The metal plunger (pictured in listing here) appears to no longer be available. The actual one sent has the plastic plunger, is shorter and does not fit the older model valves. Thought I was getting the metal plunger, they sent the plastic ones.

Not a working solenoid with other MFGs valves
Would Not RecommendWas handed this as a working replacement for my Irritrol heads. Plunger reach is to short to work with Irritrol. Apparently they discontinued the model that did fit and it was there best seller??? No longer have an economy option.

Fixed my old sprinkler valve
Would RecommendFixed my ancient sprinkler valve that wouldn’t shut off because my old solenoid had somehow corroded into an unworkable state. The only issue I had was that was that the new one didn’t screw in far enough for it to shut off flow after I thought I tightened it down securely. The new solenoid comes with an integrated o-ring, but the old one left an o-ring in the valve. I then removed the o-ring left in the valve, tightened down the new solenoid securely again, and it worked fine.
