To much trouble on the rotating knob

Orbit irrigation timers are a good choice

I have used Orbit hose bib timers for eleven-plus years. They have proved long-lasting quality timers with numerous options. I must confess, the newest line of digital programming timers has been more difficult to program for this 72 year old gardener….but definitely some pluses on options of schedules.

Failed to shut off water

I had 2 of them. One lasted a month and failed to shut off water and was running all day before my neighbors noticed it and turned it off for me. Second one lasted only a week. Same story: failed to shut off water. Looking for a better more durable option…

Good when it works, until it doesn’t.

I liked that it was easy to use and it worked well, until it didn’t. I bought 2 units a couple years ago, 1 for the front and 1 for the back. I’ve had to replace both since then, they just quit and it wasn’t the batteries. I expected them to last longer than that.

astoundingly difficult to program

The digital controls are counterintuitive, and unbelievably difficulty to remember. Every time I want to change the start & stop time, I have to bring the controller into the house and watch a 17 minute YouTube video to see how to do it. And even that video is confusing, so a job that should take 30 seconds ends up taking an entire evening. I'll never buy this brand again. I want to water my lawn, not spend my evenings going to night school to be a computer programmer.

Filled with water after one rain.

I ordered 3 of these orbit timers on June 1, 2020, and a few days later after one rain 2 of them got water inside and stopped working. One of them completely stopped working even the batteries have water on it. The second one won't set the start time. I am very disappointed in the quality of the double hose connection timers. I have had the single connection ones for awhile now without any issues.

Lacking

A good idea but doesn’t allow you to set up diffferebt watering times for the zones. Ace has a better one

Watering Timer

Once set it is an awesome timer, however, programming it is very difficult until you figure out how to do it. I had to use youtube videos to program it.

I had one last year. it froze during the winter

Manual configuration. I returned this one for a unit that has a mobile app for remote control

Horrible timer

I had the previous versions and it was pleasure working with. I am an IT guy and took me 40 minutes to program this stupid thing.

Easy to program

Easy to follow instructions. Seems to do exactly what I need it to do which is water a peach tree of mine on a schedule. Added bonus I connected a hose to the second spout to do timed manual adding water to my pool. Usually I for get the water hose is running and overfill. Now I can set it and leave it. :o)

Timer Stopped working

I used this timer last season and brought it in for the winter. I put some batteries in it for the season and the device does not turn on. IS there a warranty for replacement?

Don’t waste your money

Purchased 3 of these for the first time 2 summers ago. They worked fine through the summer, no problems. Removed the batteries tucked away for the winter and installed again last summer and water began spewing from the housing on 2 of the three. Purchased two more, they worked fine that summer, again, tucked away last winter. Just went out to install again for this summer and again water spewing out of the housing on 1 of them and on another one the valve won’t open, not on manual or on a pr...

It does the job.
