Work horse

This box is amazing and simple to use. I cut the monopoly wires to my house with this device and it is performing as well as wired internet connections for my needs. I've added a MIMO external antenna and a wireless high speed router to it and have had no problems with internet connectivity.

SMS doesn't work

Unfortunately, I can't get SMS to work. When I use the same SIM card in other devices, SMS works fine, but not in this hotspot.

Depends what you want

It worked great for the little internet draw I needed but after about 1.5 years. It would occasionally just stop working for a day or so. I'm currently waiting to see if that happened again or if its actually done now

Not the best

This router overheated and did not work consistently. It was better than the other ones we tried so we used it for a couple years. Then it suddenly stopped working and we just bought the newer model. This one works way better.

Works in my home country

I wasn't sure this would work in my country but it did! I'm very happy.

support failure

Just purchased the M1100. Installed highly recommended Spectrum Smart Data only SIM card. M1100 would not make a cellular connection. Called Netgear support number twice and basically told me each time it's the sim card. Alwasy the first technician to answer would always put me on hold to go talk to a supervisor. Anyhow I finally gave up with netgear support and figured it out. Got M1100 making a cellular connection by manually connecting on the phone app. Have still not figured out how to get i...

Don't expect to much.

After reading the reviews on this product, I thought this would work well in the situation I have. An area with weak signal strength. There was virtually no difference.

Excellent unit, provides me the flexibility to keep connected on the go. Fast speed up loading and downloading.

Fantastic product

In the country we don’t have many choices for internet. Thank the Lord and Netgear for my mobile hotspot! I can now surf, stream and email with ease!

Much better than my previous hot spot

This was a replacement hot spot. From the beginning, it worked better than the previous hot spot. I had trouble with its predecessor from day one.

The Netgear Nighthawk hotspot is a very dependable and sturdy hotspot that produces a robust consistent signal.

Not secure

I liked the MR1100 at first,til the security was allowing unauthorized people to access and cause unnecessary stress..

Works great!

Installed my phone chip. Got much faster speeds than when I was using a phone for the hot spot. Still allowed me to transfer the line number to my other cel. Plugged the ethernet port into another device and now it is connected nicely. Happy with this router so far.
