Touchless feature works great

We purchased this faucet a few weeks ago and so far it works as advertised. Just wave your hand over the sensor to turn on and wave again to turn off. Installation was simple and directions were easy to follow. All the supply lines were included, so no need to run to the hardware store. I installed this myself and took my time doing it. Nice look, good instructions for installation

I bought this to replace an older Moen faucet because the temperature control unit went out. Easy install with fewer hoses, and is hands free like the old one. Nice looking faucet.

Affordable and functional

Great quality product for a decent price if you want touchless. It would be nice to adjust temperature touchless as well but that's the next level up

Sensor is flawless + Easy to install

I've been conditioned to hate finicky sensors (ie public bathroom faucets, 'auto' paper towel dispensers, etc) but this sensor is flawless--it simply works every time. Installation was a breeze--I only mildly cursed once, and plumbing installs for this 'gentleman plumber', aka homeowner, usually involve a plethora of sworn oaths that would make a seasoned, old tar blush ;) Thanks for the design and simple instructions, Moen!

Like the concept. Hate the maintenance.

On day one the motion detector got disabled. I was able to enable it myself using the directions. On day two it got disabled again. This time I couldn’t get it enabled again. Called Moen only to find that it needed to be reset. This meant climbing under the sink, disconnecting this and that. Well, I had to call my plumber to rescue me when the water went off completely and wouldn’t come back in. Needless to say, the concept of a motion detector is awesome but there is lots of room for improvemen...

excellent design and function

The design is quite match to modern and consevative kitchen The water flow is neat and beautiful . The functions such as mition sensor and flow control is also great

Elegant and easy to use

Bought the Essie with MotionSense wave touchless sensor. Apparently not that easy to install according to the plumber but smart looking. Sensor won’t work if you first turn on water with the handle, so touchless is mainly for short episodes of use really. But we’re okay with that.

NOT a great feature.

Bought this particular model because I thought I could wave my hand and have the water turn on. Nope. Not with the Moen soap dispenser next to it! I have to raise and lower the soap dispenser to use that feature, which makes it NOT hand-less and useless! And the water pressure is awful! Must be a new environmental rule. My previous kitchen faucet had much more pressure. So, another negative.

Love this faucet!

We finally decided to get a new faucet and we just love it. I like how high it is so you can rinse large pans and I love the retractable sprayer. The motion sensor is a nice luxury.

Ease of use

My wife wanted the touchless after seeing advertisement. Despite plumber's caution at installation, she loves it and has found it easy to use.
