Would Not RecommendI have programmed and re-programmed this unit and installed fresh batteries, but water does not flow when it is programmed to flow. The LCD screen indicates water is flowing, but it is not. The unit is not clogged with any debris. The solenoid simply will not trigger.

I have bought 3 of these. First Melnor 4 Output Port Digital Hose End Timer worked well until I accidentally dropped it on the concrete driveway. This apparently damaged (?) one or more of the internal relays/valves as whenever water was applied, water would come out two of the four ports, regardless. Awesome help
Would RecommendHaving several gardens spread out in both front and back yard watering was a pain. Then I saw this and bought it. You can attach up to 4 hoses. Each port/hose can be programmed independently so you can stagger watering so you keep good water pressure.

Randomly turns off or resets time
Would Not RecommendRandomly turns itself to Off setting. Other times goes into to clock setting and time of day and day gets reset. Unless I have really smart lizards something is the matter with this unit. Has new batteries,etc. Started doing it last season. Already started again this year. Tossing it as unreliable.

Sprinkler system
Would RecommendI made my own sprinkler system using these…I had 3 four valves operating at one time. i used them for 3 years each and not an issue til this year because I didn’t pay attention to slowly opening the valve and # 2 valve wouldn’t close all the way of one of the 3 units I had. Not their fault .

Reliable and Flexible
Would RecommendFor programming just set Water Day ie. M-W-F. Then go to settings for Start Time and How Long(mins). There is an Every Day setting you may see and if you use it will probably mess up your intended settings. Just ignore. Also, using Rain Delay and/or Off settings may screw up your rotation. If so just go back thru settings for every Zone and every Cycle to reset. My experience is based on one month of use on new sod. This timer worked well and helped me get thru the watering required for n...

Then I realized there was a faulty connector that connects to the Spigot. Works Well
Would RecommendHave had this water timer for several years. Works great. Easy to set. Tip: I protect the digital screen from the sun. I tape a small piece of cardboard, or an opaque plastic so it hangs over the digital screen, and I can easily flip it up when I need to look at the screen.
