Poor Performance – Not What I Expected Review:

Washer leaves residue on towels despite proper use and multiple cleaning attempts. I’ve tried different cycles with no improvement. I wish I could exchange it just to have a washer that properly cleans. Not acceptable for the price.

Have had this washer for 4 months. it has been broke for 3 months. Maytag customer service is terrible. Parts are on backorder with no time on availability. Been trying to get it replaced/buy-back but no success. Lowes wouldn't let me return it due to it be 33 days (3 days past the 30 day return).

Agitator beats impeller, hands down!

I prefer the agitator over the impeller, which this machine replaced. Unlike the impeller we had, it cleans much better and does not go out of balance that often, if at all. That impeller washer seemed like it went out of balance every other wash! And when it does, it really rocked violently. It must have beat itself to death. Hopefully, this one will last longer than the previous Maytag impeller washer, which lasted only 4 years. Fingers crossed!

Don't buy this machine

I've had this machine for 2 years and absolutely hate it. It is a struggle to get it fill enough to wash clothes. It has started agitating only a quarter turn back and forth. so the clothes are not getting clean. Also the lack of agitation means that the detergent accumulates in gummy messes on clothes rather than being dispersed. It's a piece of garbage

broke within 30 days, maytag doesnt have replacement part and lowes won't do anything to help. WILL NEVER BUY FROM THEM AGAIN!!!

Buy a Speed Queen

Bought this washer on January 2, 2026. It broke 33 days later. As of today (4/15) it is still broke and Lowes wouldn't let me return it. Maytag customer service is horrendous. Buy from an actual appliance dealer.

Good machine for 1 person loads

First, this washing machine has an agitator as opposed to the impeller style. Personally, I think that is just the preference of the purchaser. Low Agitation, Leaves Lint

I bought a Maytag washer from Lowe’s and I’m disappointed. It doesn’t clean clothes well and has very little agitation. It also leaves lint on clothing, especially dark items. I expected better performance from this brand. Not recommended.
