Maytag Microwave

We purchased this microwave a couple years ago. Love the functionality and sleek design. Greatly disappointed that it is falling apart already. The door assembly is literally crumbling apart! Opened it yesterday to use it and a huge piece if the plastic door surround just fell off. Really disappointing that we will need to replace it so soon after purchase. Looked at getting a new door but we can buy a whole new microwave for about the same price.

Broke after 2 years

This was an expensive microwave. Now it just beeps when you push start. The only thing it is good for is the timer. I called Maytag and they don't care to help me.From the other reviews I have read on here,the majority of the consumers give this product a one star rating. I will NEVER buy a Maytag/Whirlpool product again.

Not a Quality product

Since brand new this microwave had an intermittent light. One day it stopped working altogether. 1.5 years into ownership the microwave quit. It is completely blank as if it is not getting power, but the outlet works fine. This thing is useless. So is out maytag oven, and fridge. Never again Maytag.

We purchased this microwave to replace a defective one and are very pleased with our choice. It is a very functional device. Would recommend to friends.

Bad Product

I purchased my home in Jun 2014. It had all brand new Maytag appliances. The microwave started giving me problems after the first year. When i go to use it i have to wait upwards of 2 minutes for the light to click on. Then i am able to push in the time and it starts working. Also when i open the door while working the microwave does not shutoff. I would not recommend this product to anyone.

Maytag Model MMV5208-WS Microwave Oven

I have had my microwave for 5 years now and it meets my expectations of Maytag products. The only difficulty that I have is finding a local vendor in the Mesa, AZ area to find replacement filters.

Easy to Use

Maytag appliances are my first choice. My father was a lonely Maytag repairman, so I grew up with Maytags in my home. When I bought this microwave I already knew I would find satisfaction. It is easy to use--I haven't even read the manual. I like the wideglide tray and the space inside. It looks nice with my other white appliances.

Poor Quality appliances

All of my Maytag kitchen appliances purchased in 2012 have something wrong with them except the range. My dishwasher has quit working, the microwave clock does not work and the door is crooked, and the fridge drawers have fallen apart. Very poor Quality.

Great microwave!

Installed it 2 months ago and love it. Love the tray movement, which moves a rectangular dish inside the micro while it is heating (much better than the old rotary turntables). Great meat thawing cycle, does not cook the meat, just thaws it. Would like a little brighter light underneath, pointing down at the rangetop. But we are very happy with it.

Great microwave

I bought this a couple of months ago at BrandSmart USA and am very happy with it. Seems to do just about everything.

Wideglide broke 1 month after warranty expired. Do not buy.

good for a great price

Feature packed, stainless inside, easy to use this microwave is a very good Value. the wide glide tray makes multi-dish cooking or one large dish a great option. The three speed over range fan is perfect. However the light could be brighter and cover more cooking area. all in all a very nice product.

I rely on the microwave more thwan I ever did before. The features are outstanding and very simle to use.

Great features and quiet!

We replaced a Frigidaire that died after only 3 1/2 years and couldn't be happier. The Maytag is SO much quieter!! It also has great features. I really like the square tray that doesn't rotate. It's very easy to use and the light over the stove is nice and bright.

Just bought it due to reliability of our other maytag applia

Maytage OTR

My girlfriend and I installed this on Super Bowl Sunday just in time for the party!! Easy install and it works superbly, cooks quickly and efficiently....love the fan speeds!!!!

High Hopes

Since I was installing this myself, I wanted a microwave that would last. No fun replacing a different brand over a range. Seems to be working well and the plastic exterior is good. I do think the removable stainless steel rack on the inside is a waste, but who knows ... others may find a use for it. Oven is very large and heats well.

Good microwave, sleek design

We like this microwave a lot. The only issue has been that the light below it burned out about a month after purchase.

Poor

Bought this last year to replace a 13 year microwave with no real issues. The thing can't pop a bag or popcorn. The switch went bad at the door so sometimes when the door was opened it would quit running and now it won't work at all.
