My old complicated microwave finally died. The new Maytag microwave I purchased had all the features I was looking for simple to use, at a reasonable price.

Not as good as I thought.

I bought this appliance with the idea that it would do as good as my last microwave. But it does not. I have yet to get my popcorn to completely to pop. It is supposed to be the same wattage as my last one, but it just takes longer for everything.

Love Looking At It Every Time We Used It, Specially When Opening Microwave Door And See The Stainless Neatness Inside. Brand Name Speaks For Itself. Maytag stainless steel microwave

This microwave has a nice stainless steel exterior and an unusual stainless steel interior. It cleans easily and is very attractive. It also has an unique acylating turntable, that heats the food very evenly. I would definitely recommend it.

New Microwave is working great!!!!!

Our very fancy microwave that came with the house didn't last 3 years. In fact, it broke the first year and then it broke again. So we found a new microwave which is a Maytag and it is working just fine and looks just as good above the stove as the other one did.

huge interior!

I love the stainless steel interior, nice and quiet operation. The easy glide tray is huge- I no longer have to transfer food into dishes that fit - now everything fits! Fan on sensor is amazing.

One appliance I use a lot is my microwave and when my 6 yr old one stopped working there was no decision about replacing it. I bought this particular model because of the features, price and dimensions! I had just had some extensive tile work done and wanted a microwave that fit without making changes to the tile.

I expected better from Maytag

It's a beautiful microwave. Cleans up easily. However, the popcorn button is worthless. Ditto on the baked potato button. The dinner plate sensor works relatively well and same for the defrost.The best feature is reheating pizza. It doesn't make the crust super chewy like other microwaves do.

Maytag can't design a good product

I'm developing a love-hate relationship with Maytag, and I'm running out of love... quickly. Their products look nice and work very well, at least for a while. But in the end, serious design flaws across all their product lines will cause you nothing but misery down the road. Do other manufacturers have such problems? Yes. Have I encountered costly repair issues with other brands like Frigidaire? Certainly. But let me tell you where I am at as an owner of a few Maytag products -- had I not sunk ...

Large interior.

Love, love, love the spacious interior. The WideGlide tray lets me warm 2-3 dishes at one time. Over-the-range gives me much needed counter space. I am disappointed that the microwave is only 1000W. It won't pop a bag of popcorn on the popcorn setting (leaves about 2T unpopped every time). Increasing time only burns it. I am accustomed to 1100W and didn't even check to see the power of this unit. I find that warming food takes longer because of the power. Disappointing! Other than the few above ...
