Secure, but can be hard to lock/unlock.

The combination is not intuitive: There are 3 lines of numbers visible. MOST locks use the center row, but not this one and it is angled so if you are looking at the bottom upside down, the numbers can be hard to get aligned. The shackle will not push in to lock unless the combination is visible. The rubber weather guard came off the first time it was used.

Strong

I had a master padlock for 10-15 years and lasted well with weather. I felt it was time to get a new one, this lock I like it very much, it was great setting up my creative number. I has always like Master Padlock, it's strong and know it will last for a long time.

What a piece of junk

I bought this so I could set my own combination... Opened the little vault that had default combination, set it and .... nothing .... after setting, jiggling and trying everything, I cannot get the thing to open... JUNK!

Bad design for the rubber cap, come off very easy

Lock after open couple times and thirt time never open again and I have to cut it. Garbage

combination lock

It was very easy to set my own combination and the locks open easily as well. The rubber combination cover leaves a bit to to desire as all three locks I bought have had the cover fall off and they won't go back on and stay. Never the less, the locks are well built and the combination is easy to dial in. Having all three locks with the same combination is a big plus. I would recommend these locks to a friend

Master Padlock

The shaft is too thick to go through the hasp in the locker room. Not suitable for my needs.

Heavy duty weather proof dial combination. The lock was on sale and an excellent buy.

The #'s Are Hard To Move

First and foremost the fact that the numbers have to be aligned at the top of the lock is very strange. The majority of combination locks are lined up in the middle. The first time I went to use this the numbers jammed for some unknown reason and I was barely able to get them to move into position to remove the lock from my storage unit. The setting of your own personal code is very simple but if you cannot use the lock what is the point? The reviews of this item are pretty accurate... seems dur...

Big Trouble

It may have been just bad luck, but I had a very unfortunate experience with this lock. I purchased it for convenience when I started riding my bike to work as a smaller lighter substitute for a larger bike lock. But the first day I used it, the lock failed to open, so I was forced to leave the bike and walk home. Master Lock

Looks to be a good sturdy lock. Will see how it stands up once it is out in the weather and elements for some time

Improvements needed

The rubber cover on the bottom of the lock wont stay closed. If the lock isn't closed you can't rotate the combination dials and you can't close the lock if the combination isn't dialed in, so you have to close the lock before you can change the numbewrs to protect the true combination.

Almost a Master

Purchased this to place onto the hasp I put on my shed, despite all the NY rain we have been getting, it has held up pretty good. However I did notice the other day that rust started to form on one of the pins. It has not interfered with the use or the strength of the lock, but oddly enough its only about a month old.

Beware-Easy to pick!

Used to secure medicine. Lock was picked! Searched the internet, turns out this lock is a joke. Don't waste your money.

Lock fell apart!

I bought this lock to secure my trailer. After only two uses, the entire shackle fell off in my hands while looping it through the chain. I wasn't pulling or forcing the lock, it just fell off. I cannot get it back together, so I now have a paperweight. I've had the brass versions of these locks for a few years and use them on everything with no failures. Maybe it's a dud, but I'm not going to waste my money on another.

Not suited for outdoor use!

Lowes switched to magnums from laminated locks . We have purchased two 3 packs , in lasts 2 months . we have 2 that we had to cut off and 1 that is stuck open .They are very hard to cut .but that seems to be the only positive. these locks are on box trucks ,so they do get salt and water .The laminated locks are a better choice for our application.
