Multiple Breakdowns

We bought this stove a little before Thanksgiving, so about 2 months ago. A week into December and the exhaust temperature sensor fries. Ran good for about a month and now with the cold snap coming, it is throwing a code E42, likely the vacuum sensor is bad and of course no one local carries one. This stove seems to be nothing but trouble and I wish I would have done more research, it is not what I would have spent my money on.

Really good for the price!

I've seen the reviews. Maybe mine is newer and issues have been fixed IDK. This is a replacement/upgrade from my single bag Ashley pellet stove. Same price but a much much better stove. It's heavy material and quite. Fully burns the pellets to ash. My house is 1700sqft. Keeps us nice and warm. The lowest setting is really nice, doesn't burn you out of the room it's in. Been a good stove and I have 2 of them.

So I bought two of these right before last winter and got them installed, one in our bedroom and one for our upstairs. The bedroom one runs very little because it is heating a smaller area but our upstairs one is heating an 1800 Sqft area and is on all the time. I run these on eco 1 mode and just let them kick on and off as the temps drop. I have had no issues so far with either unit and only clean them once a week or so. Very noisy and Chinese App

The large hopper is the only good thing. Very noisy auger motor. So loud, it keeps me awake. Along with the pellets dropping making a tink tink noise. The temp is off by 7-10 degrees. Support is aware of the issues. I have to mention their app. It is constantly sending data 24/7 to Chinese servers. Use your iPad for safety and also see under app data.

Forge Master H140XL garbage

Wish I could give zero stars for this Garbage. The exhaust sensor went not even 2 weeks in, replaced and now it’s saying it’s an ignite issue. We clean this every other day. No excuses why this isn’t working. It’s a piece of junk. A little over a month and this thing has been nothing but trouble. This new technology crap is what makes it ridiculous. A friend has a really old pellet stove that runs great, we get a new one and it’s nothing but hassle. I want my money back for this hunk of junk!

Updated review. very poor build quality

So I had this product installed last week. Within the first few hours of use the Auger failed. After speaking to the after sales service support they determined that it needed a new auger motor. When attempting to replace the motor I found that the motor wasn't faulty. instead the set screw used to secure the auger motor shaft to the auger was not installed and was missing. I also found the screws holding the blower motor assembly in where cross threaded so much that they had stripped the thread...

Auger Jams constantly

just installed this product. it worked great for the first 4 hours. but after that the auger kept getting jammed. I'm using the pellets that are recommended by the manufacturer and also sold by lowes, they are fresh bags and are dry. I keep having to clear out the auger and dislodge any pellets that get stuck. I'm going to try 2 other brands of pellets and if the issue continues I'll be requesting a refund.

Good stove at a fair price

Easy to install. Straightforward instructions intuitive Controls. It runs very nicely. I like that I can set it to shut down between heating cycles or maintain a maintenance flame until more. Heat is Called for. I really haven’t found anything. I don’t like about the stove as of yet.

1 year review

Ok. I've had this stove now for about a year. With in the first 3 months the stove caught on fire. After going back and forth with Mr heater (the company that makes this stove) I got replacement parts. 2 weeks later it broke down again. Another month later, during the spring when I didn't need the stove anymore, I received all new internal parts. Now the stove is working good so far. The app for this stove is seriously lacking. Also when the stove is in eco 1 the stove glitches out and says it 8...

its my primary heat source and has never let me down i vac after every other day in the winter . I do a 3 hour cool down vac and then start it up for another 2 day run. This stove is a beast . Was wondering when i would need to change the burn pot but still in great shape this stove was done right.

It works great and was somewhat easy to install considering its in a metal garage.

fill house with smoke door doesnt seal well controls are confusing disapointed in this stove I put my englander back in.

#1 it was hard to get piping to fit. #2 controls are confusing to understand. #3 door doesnt seal well #4 doesnt hook up to a wall thermostat like my last pellet stove. Very disappointed in this stove. put my englander stove back in. Thankful I bought this stove on sale so I didnt pay full price.

The hooper doesn't hold 140lbs

One time you Google it and its 140lbs then 80lbs. Brand new right out of the box review. Easy set up. Little tricky for settings. Plugged it in put a bag of pellets in it hopper. Go to turn it on and stove skips over feeding cycle goes from cleaning to lighting. Doesn't even try to turn the auger on. Glad I tried it out before the cold hits.... not too impressed. Bought this brand new so I wouldn't have to worry or work on it..

Do Better

Purchased this stove for the large hopper size and auto thermostat (set it and forget it) features. It wastes pellets by somehow missing the burn pot where pellets are supposed to drop into. The thermostat is very inaccurate from actual room temp. Which was mentioned to customer support along with the fact that the constant sound of the auger dropping the pellets in is noisey, but hey, "that's normal." Englander Replacement

I replaced my old Englander 25-PDVC, the H140XL is so much better. consistent heat, less ash. It has only been running for a few days but already provides more heat and uses less pellets compared to the unit it replaced.
