Did not do well with melting ice

Bought it to melt ice and did not work as well as we had anticipated

Worked like a charm. Little slower than most people think but it works pretty well to remove built up ice and weeds.

Torch definitely met my expectations. Hose was long enough to keep bottle away from working area, heavy duty and was very useful for melting all the ice that wouldn’t go away.

Ice melt/ weed killer. Will be better weed killer.

Easy to use. Bought it to melt the ice in driveway after snow and ice storm. It softens the ice so you can shovel it away, but does not melt the ice fast. Works better burning weeds in driveway.

GOOD BUT HAS DESIGN ISSUES

Overall it works fine, lights easily, puts out a ton of heat & generally does what it's supposed to. However there are ergonomic design issues that could make it TONS better. 1st, the wand is probably fine for most but at 6' -1" it's about 2", maybe 3", too short for me. Using it to melt ice on driveway & have to lean over just enough to put a major crick in my back. 2nd, the lever you press to send the gas to the head has a VERY strong spring so it takes a lot of pressure to keep it depress...

Terrible

I have several weed burners like this one, but this one is terrible. The check valve in it constantly engages, so you might be lucky to get it to work 1 out of 10 times..then dont let go of the handle, otherwise it shuts off and you have to go through it all again. Dont waste your money on this. I would return it, but I got so irritated with it I destroyed it.

Won't stay lit

Have had a Chinese torch for 20 years. It was short and the hose started cracking. Needed new one and Lowes had one that was taller and more heat. It looked rugged. Old torch had a "pilot light" setting that kept a small fire going till you needed the torch hot. I was curious that this came with a sparker lighter. After setting it up, I found it would NOT stay running. Everytime I released the valve it turned off. This became frustrating as I have Carpal tunnel and Arthritis in my hand. Re...

Great weed burner

Bought this torch to burn weeds on my 1 acre property. Torch and hose are made of premium materials and I like the hose length compared to other torches. The torch is solidly built only thing I wish it would do was stay on after initial light. I have to keep lighting torch after I let go of the throttle, so it's either keep the throttle pressed or relight your torch quiet often. It's a good torch no doubt it burns quiet hot so long as my tank doesn't frost over from so much fuel flow.
