Works Good

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this washer with matching dryer about a month ago and so far they are working well. The only caviats are the washer door must stay open after a wash to allow it to dry and air out inside, otherwise the inside will start to mildew because the door seal is very good. Also, the touch screen has to be reset by unplugging the machine otherwise it does not register touching it.

Great purchase

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Having the use for three weeks now, I am impressed with the dryer and the settings that control heat. It will with AI not over or under dry fabrics, but come out great. The size of both washer and dryer or the ultimate solution to our needs. The washer has performed well, I am still learning the settings for fabrics. Still having difficulty with downloading the app for WiFi.

Out with the old...in with the new

We purchased this to replace an older LG washer and dryer that was in the home we purchased about 3 years ago. The older combo unit was from 2017. We originally were searching for another brand, due to the common problem with front load washers, which is the tub evacuation pump failure. Also add the annoyance of having to open the bottom of the washer to drain the dirt trap every month as suggested. Love the "smart" capabilities. Works beautifully.

Everything is working great so far. I love the intelligence. I get a notification on my devices when the load is complete so that the load doesn't sit there and sour. It will even let me start it up again so that doesn't happen, right from the app. Functionality is great on all levels, and I also love the coordination with the dryer. When the wash load is complete the dryer is waiting and "knows" exactly the type of load that just finished in the washer, and recommends what dry cycle to utilize,...

Front load Washer WM6500HWA

Overall solid

So far, excellent for both washer and dryer. I love the pedestal, quiet, and great reminders and options through the app. Don't use pods, scent boosters, or softeners - they'll mess up your machines in the long term. It's a marketing strategy companies use, so you'll have to replace your appliances sooner. Just use liquid detergent. Also, these machines are good enough they don't need those things.

Don’t buy if you plan to plug into GFCI plug

purchased about 3 weeks ago. Washer immediately tripped gfic plug in my laundry room. Gfci plugs are nationally required by code in the US and it is well commented on that these washers trip gfci plugs. I don’t see anywhere where LG has addressed this problem. This is installed in a brand new home with 400 amp service. Had LG certified tech out and he said we need a “higher rated gfci” but wasn’t clear what that meant. The washer draws ~10amps and it’s plugged into a 20amp circuit. Washer itself...
