Not worth the price tag

** in addition to previous review.. Model allows the door to open to the side and to the front. HOWEVER, when using the front option, it only opens about 1/3 of the way down. Not user friendly at all. And VERY OFTEN, clothes get caught in the gap/seal in the front of the dryer! Almost always causing the clothes to become twisted during the drying process. Wish we never purchased this dryer.

Not Worth The Price Tag

We've had this dryer THREE months and we're already calling for service! Clothes are coming out with large grease/oil stains! I don't use fabric softener and our vents were cleaned before the new dryer was installed; had to throw away clothing and linens! Things to think about if you are going to buy this dryer: ***I wouldn't buy this dryer again just because of the dryer lint compartment alone! It is not a single screen dryer vent where you can easily remove lint. It's a two screen compartment...

Beware!!!!

If I could do negative stars I would. Don’t waste your time with this junk. It looks nice but will give you a d80 and d90 code every time. My one load of laundry has take almost 8 hours to dry because it keeps shutting down. And before you ask, this is a brand new home. The lint vent is perfectly fine and every other avenue as been explored. It’s just this hunk of junk that now I am out of money on because LG does not offer a trade up anymore. Go elsewhere.

Perfect for us

[Employee of lowes] I did a lot of research before selecting this dryer. We wanted a good rated machine that used gas, and not too overloaded with bells and whistles. This unit fit the bill. We've been using it for a few days now, and so far it exceeds our expectations. It's quiet, does a great job drying our clothes, and isn't complicated to operate. We're happy!

Good product

Product does not have the settings that we expect to have for the price

First delivery we had, drivers did not hook up a new vent. Dryer sent a code on the first use and showed burn inside drum.. Dryer was replaced with a new dryer and a new vent was then installed. Works great!

Need a quick start card

Like the 2 option door. Did not like the mismatched height between washer and dryer. Also did not like the sloping top. Used to put detergent and dryer sheets on top and now they slide off. Can’t figure why they did that. DONT like the energy saver in the normal cycle. Had a lot of laundry to catch up without a dryer turned on normal and clothes not dry. Had to pull out manual and waste time reading about it Lastly I have to use a flashlight to read all the cycles. Eyesight not that good. ...

Awful

Clothing gets caught on the gasket surrounding the drum and gets tangled. It almost tears the fabric when you try to free it. Terrible. Every load I did!

It's ok.

Unlike your mom, it doesn't do great with larger loads.

Bad customer service for a blown fuse

Purchased this LG dryer from Lowe’s about a month ago and it stopped heating after only two weeks. The unit shows error code 9A5 even though the gas pressure was verified at 10.5 inches WC. Very disappointing for a brand-new appliance. I expected better reliability from LG and a smoother support process.

Disappointed After One Year of Use

I purchased the LG Top-Load Washer (Impeller Extra Large ( 5.5-cu ft ) and Matte Black dryer set (7.3 cu. ft. vented gas dryer with matching washer) for about $1,900 almost a year ago. After doing a lot of research, I decided to give it a try. Unfortunately, the performance has been very disappointing. The washer does not clean clothes well. Horrible all around

Worst dryer I have ever owned and the washer that goes with it is even worse than the dryer. Nothing is ever completely dry after the first cycle AND the clothes come out VERY wrinkled. I have to iron every pair of pants that comes out of there (even dry fit comes out wrinkled) and if I didn't refuse to iron T-shirts, those would need be ironed as well.
