Good Dishwasher But Things to know...

This review is on the LG Dishwasher listed, not the the Crappy service from Lowe's or the worthless delivery company they have hired. Drying disappointment

I bought this dishwasher to replace another one that barely dried the dishes only to have this one dry marginally better. I would’ve returned it to get the next model but I didn’t realize the return timeframe.

rusting

washes and is awesome but the racks are rusting an causing my knives to rust now. I've only had it for 8 years and been rusting last 3 years. Now I need new baskets.

Elegance that doesn't break the bank

Quiet and efficient

The dishwasher cleans excellent is quiet and unlike my Frigidaire Gallery that leaked from day one there is no water on my floor.

Poor quality

Poor quality. Racks are rusting just after 2 years.

Okay dishwasher

I was hoping it would be okay, and it is but only just okay. Noisy. Upper rack (not the cutlery rack) rocks like a seesaw, kind of goofy feeling. Lower rack has vertical tines (or nearly so) that I find easier to load than my old bosch with the slanted tines. Washing performance is acceptable but it doesn’t get rid of that whitish film out of the bottom of a saucepan. Drying performance is… poor! Did I mention it’s noisy? Rumbling away in the kitchen doing its okay job. And good grief that jaunt...

Great cleaning/Horrendous drying

The dishwasher does a lovely job cleaning the dishes. However, it doesn’t absolute horrendous job drying them. I have run the dishwasher on normal wash with extended dry time and the dishes are actually soaking wet. I’ve had to leave the door open and when I pull the rack out, the door is full gets full of water because there’s so much water still on the dishes.

Do not buy - poor performer with no longevity

Just died after 2 years and 4 months. Electrical issues where it would stop prematurely. On last run it wouldn’t start cycle, instead flashing all lights while beeping wildly before turning off and never turning back on. Even when brand new cycles take over 3 hours and leave some items unclean with most items still wet.

This LG LDFN4542S dishwasher has been nothing short of a disaster for just over one year. From day one, it threw BE error codes nonstop. Avoid this dishwasher

We bought this dishwasher less than 5 years ago and it is already failing. The rubber gaskets that seal the connection to the dishwasher arm have started to erode. In addition the dishwasher repeatedly leaks water to the bottom basin, resulting in an AE error. I have to painfully wipe the water from below before it’ll run again. It doesn’t clean dishes well either. I have to re wash 40-60% of the dishes.
