The mobile app lets me know when the wash has finished and you can program custom cycles if you would like but for me excessive technology is not my cup of tea.

Yes it does take longer to dry clothes and that has been a very minor adjustment for us but it has allowed us to configure our laundry room to how we wanted by staking out equipment. Large, sturdy washer with good features
I've owned the washer for a month and a half now. So far so good. The control panel is easy to understand. It uses a large dial to select the wash type. The regular wash cycle doesn't use a lot of water. As a result, some people feel the clothes aren't clean enough, but you can select a different cycle such was one for towels. I also installed the app on my phone. I don't use it for much other than downloading a new alarm and background. It also tells me when the wash is done.

In love with this washing machine!
I purchased this washing machine about a month ago and am so glad that I did. This is THE BEST washing machine I have ever owned. It cleans and softens my clothes better than my previous, not old, washing machine. I purchased the pedestal because I have severe neck and back problems and am vertically challenged as well. I no longer struggle to reach the socks and smaller items at the bottom of my top loader. I love love love this machine!! Thanks LG, for making my life so much easier!!

Display buttons stopped working after 48 hours
Would Not RecommendThe display buttons stopped working after 48 hours. I've been trying to control the machine from the app while I wait for help, but it cuts off in the middle of a wash cycle. I put in a service request with LG and haven't heard back. Pretty frustrating experience so far.
Really Enjoying My New Washing Machine.
This is my first LG product, it came highly recommended and I h r been very pleased with it. Love the settings, lots of choices for different laundry needs. And I reallly like the ThinQ app for my phone, thought it might be gimmicky but it is perfect!!!
