Bad welds and a bad cheap design

I bought two of these and they both broke in the same spot during Step #1 of assembly. The small nut welded to the frame to hold on the handle both broke. I did not hamfist it on at all. Glad I saved my receipt. Returning them to Lowes today.

Not the best engineering

Kobalt is a great company and I have many Kobalt tools, but they missed the mark on this item. Although this adjustable stand seems heavily built, the small nut on the base where the adjustable handle fastens is engineered very poorly. The nut is held on by 4 very small welds instead of being welded entirely. Poor design.....

Junk

Nut that holds tightening handle to the steel tube popped off of first one. Exchanged for another and a second one is the same. Poor design, cheaply built.

Not recommend

I bought 5 of these, two of them broke because of crappy, cheap welds on the adjustable height screw. I returned them and got new ones same thing happened. "Kobalt" needs a welder not a computer. Fortunately I am a welder so I can fix it, but it sucks buying something and then having to modify it to not break on you

Great value

I added this to my toolbox so I wouldn't have to carry my other one back n forth between work areas. Sturdy and measurements inscribed on adjustable leg are convenient. Easy to put together except for a small square piece which looks like it should go on under the bolt for the roller, but I couldn't make it fit. I threw it in a drawer and the stand works just fine without it.

Poor quality

I bought 2 of these at different times and both failed. The nut for the adjusting knob broke off from the frame on both. It was not welded on very well and broke off when I hardly tightened the knob.

Weld on Handle Broke Before I Used it One Time!

Desperate for an extra set of hands I purchased this at Lowes. Put it all together, but when I went to use it, the weld that holds the bracket to tighten the handle and keep the roller is a set position popped off. So, now , not only do I not have an extra set of hands, I have to return it to Lowes! I had hoped I was getting a reputable product purchasing a Kobalt brand instead of going to the freight store. Bummer...

Broke during assembly

Poor design. Last thing I needed for my project and can’t even use. Very disappointed with the product, aggravated that I have to drive back to the store to return the junk.

Cheep JUNK do not waste your time

Bought this for a small job needing to cut 16' boards down to size and needed extra support for those long boards. Assembly was easy but the first time, the very first time adjusting the height of the roller the cheep metal and poor craftmanship failed at the adjustment knob. I would give negative stars if I could. Wasted time on my project and then wasted time returning.

Height adjustment knob broke

During assembly of one of the 4 i bought, the tack weld broke on nut that holds the height adjustment knob. The others feel kind of weak, but work so far. I guess not bad for $20.

broke right away

The nut to tighten the height adjustment broke off on my first use. I several others with pictures of the nut, so I guess mine wasn't just a fluke.

Avoid unless you are an engineer

Bought these at Lowe's Neosho Missouri because of dire need and my local store did not have them in stock, besides reviews saying the barely-welded-on tightening nut broke easily.. that's an understatement. The first one broke the second time I touched it: before ever using it and under zero pressure. The second one survived almost two more touches (one use) and broke of in the same place; for reference, these nuts are spot welded to the side of the frame over a hole through which the L-shaped...

Junk

Do not buy these stands. The handle broke the first time I used them.

ROller height adjustment handle broke off with in the first hour.Just all around junk and very light duty.very dissatisfied.

Broke on assembly

weld nut on the extension screw busted off before the extension was even tight.

Shoddy work

I've had 2 of these stands for a over a month. They keep falling apart on me. The screws keep coming loose, the stand keeps sinking out of position, and worst of all, the welding for the tightening screw snapped off, so now it's unusable.

Handle broke

The handle broke. I had it for a week. I set it up for one height for my miter saw. I collapsed it and put it away. The handle broke when setting it up the very next time. Broke at the tiny little welds. Horrible design.
