Poor Construction

Bad tack weld on nut for height adjustment. Broke immediately.

Very cheap and will break

I have bought two of these in two days, both broke immediately. Similar to other reviews, even with slight pressure when tightening the stand the handle breaks off. I know this price is cheap compared to other roller stands, but this poor level of quality literally makes this unusable. I would recommend spending a little more money on another product that meets basic quality standards.

Piece of Junk

I bought this as a replacement for another adjustable roller stand that I had for probably 10 years, that finally gave out. I didn't even get finished assembling this one before it failed in the exact same spot. The handle that you use as the height adjustment lever broke off when I was just putting it together. It's a poor design. The piece you screw the handle into is welded to the stand, and it just failed at the weld. I mean, what the heck. Now I have to take it apart just to return it....

Rubber feet slip off, handle broke

I used this for three projects. I first noticed the rubber feet would slip off. Luckily I found one at the job site by accident, found one in the garage on the floor by accident, and found one in the truck bed, so I was only missing one after the third use. I opened it up on a fourth project and went to tighten the handle, but it only slipped around the bolt and would not tighten at all. Poor design decisions doom product

I bought 3 of these to help with shop projects including ripping 12' boards for a decking project. All three of them had the tensioning mechanism break (pop off) in the first weekend. The mechanism is just a hex bot SPOT WELDED to the tube, tightening a bolt through that nut adds friction to supposedly lock the height. These bolts work their way loose supporting a single 2x4x12'. Garbage Handle.

Handle to tighten the height is made of plastic, broke it putting together. Whoever designed this should be kicked in the d$#%. Another garbage product from kobalt.

THese are good stands but the plastic handle is crap. They strip out and you cannot adjust the heigth. If these had some kind of metal handle they would be much better. I have 3 sets and all 3 have the same priblem. Other than that they are fairly useful.

Just what I needed

This was exactly what I was looking for. The pice and quality are Great.

Handle stripped and popped off

I am a hobby builder and I had this stand for a few months. I mostly use it to help support 2x4s when cutting them down on my miter saw. It works fine for that but after about 3 months of occasional weekend use the plastic handle stripped off the nut that is used to secure the roller height. I tried to use a deep well socket with the hope of just replacing the handle with a different type of mechanism but I couldn't get it off. Rollers are not round

These are cheap and good for a tablesaw or chop saw but the rollers are at least 1/8" out of round, so the are not any good for using on my joiner.

Milled incorrectly

Pin to attach feet was killed incorrectly. There should be a lip, but on one of the two there was no lip. We couldn’t even put it together. Returned.

Broke and had to take it back

I purchased this expecting better quality. A weld broke and I had return it after 1 day of use. Legs were wobbly and the plastic caps on the feet dont stay on well.

Cheap but not great

It’s wobbly/uneven, and roller assembly piece is wiggly even with the bolts tightened. It’s cheap but not a serviceable tool.

loose legs

THe bottom for the legs, is hold by a bolt, it continues to get loose. Keep an allen wrech near you when using the strand

Difference maker

I tried to rip boards with my wife before big no! no! Instead I decide a differnt approach. I this and purchased two of them. It was a gamer changer. I ripped by myself 12 plywood boards with problem and safely! I t was a great buy for the price highly recommend!

Handle nut broke

Did not even get to use it as I tightening the riser down the nut to compress it to hold firm broke off, barely tightened. The store is too far away to return. Very disappointed in Kobalt.

It’s perfect, don’t have much room in my garage. Doesn’t take up much room and gets the job done!!

Essential item when using a tablesaw.
