Would RecommendGreat PEX cutting tool. Make an easy job of cutting PEX to specifications. PROS: - Sturdy tool and blade. - Handle has great leverage to make cuts with minimum pressure. - Packaging was good and you can even demo it in the package. - Tool has a spring to automatically open the jaws after a cut. - This tool also has a locking mechanism to keep the blade closed. Also a good safety feature. CONS: - Price. You can find a PEX cutting tool for alot lower price but you may loose quality....
Does a great job!
Would RecommendThis does an excellent job. Not only did it cut cleanly, but it also actually cut through a nest that something had created inside the end of my pex! Very little effort required, too. This was much simpler than the twist cutter I’d been using and left it cleaner.
Easy to Use, Nice Grip and Lock
Would RecommendThis tool seems to work great for cutting PEX, I cut 1/2" and 3/4". Sharp blade with "piercing" point, looks to be replaceable though no spares are included or stored on the tool. This will probably work well on other poly lines as well (water filter, RO, ice maker, and underground sprinkler, etc). Tool is easy to grip and does not seem to require a great amount of force to use.
great cutter
Would RecommendI love working with PEX. Having one of these cutters in your pouch is way better than dealing with a utility knife. Just a quick snip and you get a nice even cut. I have a cutter from Brass Craft and they are similar, though the Kobalt cutter is a little smaller and lighter. Feels good in your hand and does the job well.
Great cutters for small hands
Would RecommendFirst of all I have to say that I love anything Kobalt. I’ve founded this cutter tool to feel good in my small hands, well made and very durable. I use these the other day verse another pair that I’ve got and they felt some much better in my hands. Their not really bulky like my others and they cut through that pipe like hot butter. These will be my first go to when I’m working with my water lines. Definitely recommend if you have small hands and want something that’s easy to handle and feels ...
Works great
Would RecommendWorks good on the pex type lines and on fuel type rubber hose. Clean cuts that dont need touching up. Replaceable blade. And handle lock are great also
KOBALT PEX PIPE CUTTER CUTS CLEAN AND FAST!
Would RecommendThe KOBALT pex cutter cuts clean and fast. The cutter delivers clean edges. The product is easy to use and great tool to have,
I love this cutter!
Would RecommendThis is the best PEX cutter I have used. It has a handy lock lever to keep the blade protected when you aren't using the tool. When you release the lock lever, the cutter opens up, ready for action. The handles have a comfortable molded grip. I definitely recommend this product!
Small but sharp
Would RecommendI had to use 2 hands to cut through my sample pipe in the picture. It could be because it was full of salt, but I think it's just cause the handles are a bit short. But that could be a good thing as you can use it in tight spaces. But if you need both hands, and space it tight, it may be a problem either way. Easily replaceable blade and a nice safety lock to keep the jaws closed when in storage. Good for PEX up to one inch with a lifetime warranty. Very comfortable in the hand.
Kobalt PEX pipe cutter
Would RecommendSome of us DIYers tend to take on many projects that we should not, I am one of those that usually bites off more than I should. This one started with adding a whole house water filter to our house. I have done some basic plumbing over the years but new to PEX, my cutter was a bit old so a new one was in order. The Kobalt PEX cutter was ideal and able to cut through the pipe in a single squeeze with a clean crisp cut. My older cutter did not have replaceable blade but this Kobalt cutter does so ...
Easy to use with replaceable blade
Would RecommendThis is such a good pex cutter because it isEasy to use with replaceable blade. I’ve used at least three or four different types of pex cutters and none of them had a replaceable blade. What are the single most important thing is that this tool keeps the cut straight every time and it’s easy to cut through the pipe with minimal effort. I think every plumber should have this tool in the toolbox it’s extremely sharp so it needs to be treated like a knife. I would recommend this to anybody that’s d...
Sturdy Well Made Cutter
Would RecommendI wish I would have had this on my last plumbing project. It would have gone much smoother. This is a quality, well made cutter. Easily cuts through PEX pipe with one handed operation. Makes a very clean straight cut with very little effort. The blade is easily changed when needed. I highly recommend this cutter if you are using PEX pipe in your plumbing job.
Awesome Tool for cutting Vacuum Hoses
Would RecommendThis Is a great tool for a mechanic who needs to replace vacuum hoses in a engine compartment. The blade is very sharp and is replaceable. The jaws open to allow up to 1" inch of pipe or rubber hose. The cutters have a safety lock and the handle has a nice rubber feel. I know that this tool is for cutting pipe but I use it for a different purpose. This would also be great to cut plastic tubing like for a water line to a ice maker.
Slick one hand cutter
Would RecommendCuts pex clean and easily with one hand. Blade is easily replaceable and probably can be sharpened without much fuss. Up to 1 inch without a hitch.
Great cutter
Would RecommendThe project intended for this item was an outdoor shower. However several of the parts needed for completion were back ordered and will not be received for 2-3 weeks and I didn’t want to wait to write the review. The water line is of ¾ inch PEX tubing (picture 1) and I was amazed at how easily it cut with the Kobalt cutter. The cut ends are clean and there is no deviation in the tubing, which makes inserting fittings much easier. In picture number 2 you can see the difference between the “Factor...
sharp and easy to use
Would Recommendthese are sized right for an average sized persons hands. I have used them to cut PEX and fiber reinforced tubing. These cut both with ease. The blade is easily removable when they do eventually dull.
Does what it's intended to do
Would RecommendEasy to use and cuts through pex like a hot knife through butter. Fits on hand nicely and has easy to use lock to protect those that shouldn't be handling it. Easy to remove blade for when the time comes to replace it. Overall very pleased. Time will tell how long blade will last.
Clean, even cut every time
Would RecommendThis Cutter works well! Cuts are very smooth and square which is important. Great for working in tight spaces like under a sink which is what I used it for. Handle is good, non-slip grip. Blade replacement was a breeze. Must have in your plumbing tool bag.
Good product
Would RecommendThese are great pex cutter's. Easy on the hand. Blade is sharp and makes cutting a breeze. The finger lock works great with out fighting with it or having to find the right spot to open or close. No problem cutting the 3/4 inch heat pex pipe or the 1/2 inch water lines. No burrs left behind so the fitting goes in easily. Good tool. Would definitely recommend.
Perfect
Would RecommendThis was the easiest cut I have ever made. Everyone knows that cutting pex isn't hard, but a very close end cut is. This tool made that cut dirt simple. Excellent tool, perfect, just wish it were made in the USA
