Poor Design

If the Locking pliers would perform as advertised I would be very happy. However both had different problems. The small pliers would not lock in place no matter how you set the tension or what size the object you were trying to grab. The large pliers worked better but would not lock on certain shapes and sizes. I will be returning them and I hope the replacement units do not have similar problems or I will have to ask for my money back

Kobalt 2 Piece Self Adjusting Locking Plyers

These are great plyers. They are strong and well built - tough enough for any job. They are also very easy to use and are self adjusting - a plus. They should last a long time.

Easy to use.

Gloves fit as should. Work great. I live in the country, and I ordered on a Friday. Received them Saturday. Very Satisfied. Lowes card had some issues, and Customer Service was excellent. GOOD JOB! These have a good tight grip.

Husband likes very much

Took a bit to figure out how to get the large locking pliers to work. They would not ratchet or adjust. Seems there is a button that needed to be pushed in to make them work. Disappointed that we did not receive the carry cases that were advertised with the product

Made of very good material love the soft grip and once it's locked in place it stays

It would probably a better deal if they were made in the USA

worth the price

This was a gift for my son-in-law who is a shade tree mechanic. I was excited about the new technology.

Overall product design is good.Locking feature proves to be convenient. Rugged tool. Grip and rip!

Failed

From the first use I was disappointed. The small size locked up and would not release and reset, the large size did not do what I thought it was designed to do. When I tried to grab hold of something the large size handles were so far apart that I could not use them. Big disappointment. I will be returning them.

Christmas Tools!

The pliers were a perfect gift for the men on our list. Now we'll have to buy one for our home.

2-piece self adjusting locking pliers

These are pretty cool. Much better than the locking pliers of 20 years ago. Nice design, soft grips. I'll be interested in seeing how the soft grip responds when exposed to grease in the shop.

great concept

a good concept but doesent have the grop strength of traditional vice grips tired to use them to remove a bolt but kept slipping off even when locked down as hard as i could get it . think they will make great welding clamps.

Great Value

Bought this on impulse - which tends to happen when I shop at Lowe's. Works great. Bought on sale and worth the money. I like the way the jaws are designed to grab onto nuts. The design is an improvement over other brands. Doesn't allow the pliers to slip.

Best vise grips ever

It's a great set of grippers and would not trade them. They are what everyone says they are and more

release button on the handle does not work well!

Release button to release the grip does not work well when the pliers are clamped down.
