What Customers Are Saying

The self-adjusting locking pliers appear to be of poor quality, with many customers reporting issues with the product's performance and durability. The pliers often fail to self-adjust or lock properly, making them difficult to use effectively. Additionally, the build quality is subpar, with the pliers flexing, jamming, or breaking easily during use. Overall, the product does not meet customer expectations and is not considered a suitable replacement for more reliable locking plier brands.

Lock it down

Would Recommend

This is a little interesting to get use to but there are about the same as any other locking pliers. You have to adjust them a little different than regular adjuster were these make it as easy to use and faster adjustments with a matter of a push and lock the adjusting button then done were the regular ones you twist and twist then lock. with self adjusters they just lock accordingly. You have to buy and try and if you don't like you don't buy

Self Adjusting Pliers

Would Not Recommend

Although the concept seems good they do not work as expected. Bought for husband for Valentine's Day and had occasion to use yesterday. Pliers don't lock strong enough and will not grip. Kept slipping off the boards we were trying to remove. Will be returning.

These are really nice for the price, well made And assembled well. Note, to open takes some Umph and when u lock them it is very much like vise grips. That is a good thing.

Self Adjusting Pliers

Would Not Recommend

These are designed to automatically adjust to different size objects. It did not work in my initial tests on a few things around the garage. In a few cases it worked but not generally. The mechanism failed to tighten on larger objects.

Both pairs failed to do their job.

I saw these at Lowe's just before Christmas and decided to buy a set for each of my sons. While I was at it, I bought a set for myself. They're advertised to have parallel gripping jaws, but neither pair actually remain parallel when the jaws open. A couple of days ago, I had occasion to put them to good use. A hex shank drill bit separated from the hex shank and was stuck in wood up to the point where the shank had been attached. I reached for the smaller pair of these locking pliers, but the...

Pure Junk

I was exciterd to walk into Lowes just after Christmas and saw a huge display just inside door of the Kobakt Pliers and $12.98 per set! I bought one . Took it home and discovered it is virtually unusable. The quality is bad, Jaws do not line up. The quick release feature requires a set of pliers to release. My 25 year old vice grips is far superior. I intended to give the small set in the package to wife, but obviously I will not now. Is all of Lowes products similar?? Dolar Store may have bette...

Not A Good product

Would Not Recommend

When I purchased these locking pliers I thought I had made a good choice but when I got them home and checked them out I found out that the jaws and the adjustment on the handle would open the jaws wider but they wont open to a large opening! Yes theres two adjustments from small to large but its hard to use and on the large opening they just wont open wide like the original Vuse Grips so I took these back and Got the Original Vise grips which open real wide with the knob adjustment on the handl...

NOT AS DESCRIBED

Would Not Recommend

I've had Channel Lockin Pliers for many years and been happy with them. My wife, unfortunatley, was never able to get them to work, like for adjusting the seat on her bicycle, etc. I saw these advertised as a cure for her problem and thought I'd give them to her as a stocking stuffer for Christmas. Well, they don't work for her and when I looked at them they're cheap junk. I'll keep my Channel Locks & return these Kobalts to Lowes.
